Revell 1/25 Custom Lowrider Cadillac Review
Jordan White replied to hpiguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I'm not seeing it on the Revell site at all, it must not be officially released yet. -

Any word on the release date for this kit? -
Next Moebius Ford truck kit?
Jordan White replied to Againmikewins's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Disagree, I think the AMT kit is pretty mediocre, and it sucks having to essentially replace a good chunk of the kit in order to have a decent build. The axles are poorly shaped, and everything just feels old. I think Moebius could provide much better kits and, again, do this era of trucks justice. -
REVELL HONCHO WHEELS AND TIRES

Measure the inside of the tire and look at places such as Fireball Modelworks and Scenes Unlimited for wheels. -
Next Moebius Ford truck kit?
Jordan White replied to Againmikewins's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
At 1/25 scale, that would be a little less than 3/16" width difference. I would think if they split the difference, it would be negligible enough to work for the F100/150 and F250. I would hope that this would be something that shouldn't bother most people since it's not as important as say, the body dimensions, but I know better. -

I guess going with the title of the thread, it would be great to see modern kits of the ‘73-‘79 trucks. They are popular, and the AMT kits don’t do them justice (camper special LWB? Really?) -

I would love to see them have a go at the ‘67-‘72 Chevy/GMC trucks, since neither AMT nor Revell have come out with some more advanced kits than AMT’s last attempt. -
Kits with 3.8 GM motor
Jordan White replied to Ctmodeler's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Your best bet would be to get the 4.3 V6 from the AMT S10, Blazer, or recently released Sonoma and find a parts box intake that looks close enough. -

Will we ever see the Monogram S-10 again?
Jordan White replied to Jim H.'s topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
One of the problems is they not only have the 4WD wheels on a 2WD kit, but they are also a bit big since they seem to have used a set of 16/17" tires they already made for other kits. I'm hoping if it ever gets released again, they at least include the AWD/4WD parts from the Syclone kit to allow you to make a 4WD S10 easier. I'm pretty sure at least a couple of the parts are already included (I seem to recall the front differential/driveshaft), so they would just need the transfer case, rear driveshaft, torsion bars, and front halfshafts. It would probably be too much to ask for them to have a set of 15" rally wheels and tires included as well. -
You can easily just fill in the turn signals to get the '83-up plain bumper.

Biggest pet peeves on builds.

I feel the same way, find the right wheels, but can't find the right tires! It seems like for me for 4x4 tires, they are either too small or too large (or just the ugly Goodyear Tracker A-Ts that are found in every Revell/Monogram 4x4 kit) and so I get to go buy yet another aftermarket set...granted this isn't entirely bad since I generally prefer aftermarket tires anyways! -

How about locating pins in general? Obviously they can't do much about older kits, but newer kits still seem to have issues with some mounting points not being clear enough. A big one also seems to be body parts/bumpers/mirrors where you know the general spot, but you basically have to make your own locating pieces to get the parts to sit right. -
This has been my thoughts as well, there have been several newer subjects that would be huge sellers, yet no one wants to kit them. Current gen Mustang (until now), current Ecoboost F150, Challenger Hellcat, C8 Corvette (yes it just came out, but no peeps yet about a kit), Ram Cummins (or really any truck within the past decade), Focus RS, and so on. I’m excited for this kit since I love Tamiya kits and it’s of a subject that I’ve not seen yet.

94 Ford Ranger

If it's paint code EG, then Duplicolor has it in their Perfect Match spray line, BFM0317. You can get it from most auto parts stores, either in store or they can order it in for you. -
Beautiful build! It looks much better with the slight lowering you did. Revell did well with the detail in the parts, however I agree that the detail and features are lacking for a large scale kit that cost as much as this did. I really wish they would have gone the extra bit and included working steering and opening doors/trunk, even if it added $20 to the price.
