  1. I keep looking at diecast and think I'm missing something
  2. That's impressive.
  3. Instead of the MPC Cougar (good kit by the way), Dick Harrell Camaro......PLEASE
  4. What's to hate? Bobby Allison ran one in the early 70's.
  5. I'd went for the Soapy Sales but my local HL had Lawman for $14.99 and the Buddy Baker 1/16 Charger for $14.99. Cast met $75 for two Lawman and three Bakers.
  6. I second that. Loosing a loving Dad is a very hard event no matter how old either of you are.
  7. C'mon, where is the model car. Truly looks like a scale replica. I have to agree with Bob, greatest build of this kit ever.
  8. How big of a lathe?
  9. I find this amazing work....if it was 1/16 it would be impressive. 1/25......WOW.
  10. It would be interesting to know what week that flyer is for. The latest I've been sent by Ollies is August 31. Ollies is a a bit weird. If its available for sale on let's say September 29, some stores will stock the shelfs as soon as they get the shipments in while others will wait until the night before or the morning of the 29th. It will be interesting to see what pops up this time. As for the Jawbreaker, did this reissue have pad printed tires?
  11. Alan, if you offer these, where are they buried? What's the link?
  12. Where did you get the Aber chains? I have a use for those.
  13. I have to agree with the statements it needs to be on a dio base.
  14. This is amazing work.......so what are you going to do when Round2 announces it in October for March release?
  15. Only one flat? I'd say it looks killer but maybe dead would be more correct. Seriously this really represents the subject well.
  16. If you really want to model it, swap it for a kit or a promo that's less pristine. Its only original ounce.
  17. Actually looks sorta like a VW kit car trying to look like a Corvette. Maybe that's the solution. Mount it on a dune buggy chassis.
  18. If you admit to liking it, visit your health provider. If its sealed keep it that way. Its only sealed once (well.......we know that isn't ALWAYS true), and keeping it sealed keeps it contained. The best part of that kit has to be the box art.

Just stumbled upon this build. Really glad I did. This is a great project. Your WIPs are making it very easy to follow. This is truly a great how-to to build a Trans-Am classic.
  20. This is a kit that is maligned by many for the engine looking wrong. The scoop you used seems to remedy all of those concerns. Your build perfectly captures the feel of a 1963 dragster.
  21. Killer idea. Looks well executed. I love the wood at the top of the windows.
  22. I've got to get one of these. Nicely built and the added details do a lot for it.
  23. I agree with accepting some inaccuracies. I accept that. The frame is off, AMT reused the old Ivo frame. Its far from accurate for a Buttera frame. I'm okay with that, but by golly.....they tooled up an all new body. Get the body near right! Built from the box, I doubt the driver could see out of it. The blower would also hid below the deck work. I'm okay modifying a kit.....I can't remember reading directions.....but please get something near right. They designed a new body......why, oh why couldn't they got it closer? I swear they used the Hot Wheels die cast as a model.
  24. I echo many of the thoughts shard. I never met Ed although we had numerous pm messages at one time. We shared the love of road racing in the 60's. Ed was talented. His talents went beyond his builds but he was talented in sharing so many of us could be better builders. He's one of many builders that I have come to look forward to seeing their work, their advice. I trust he was a good man in person. He was a good man here. Please convey to his wife my condolences.
