  1. I was watching that one...... And yes.....he gets more for other builds.....but they are often costly resin or rare kits and not $19 new kit. Good for him....I'd not pay it.
  2. I just bought a spray can of Dupli-color magnesium. It is a little dark...but makes a great used mag color. Bonus was a big can was 99 cents at Ollies.
  3. I did ask about the bed cover and clear bubble bed 'topper' and both will be back just as shown on box side.....which is finalized. I only have one kit with these but wanted to build with them.
  4. I like the first episode......Jay was saying good things about first gen Mustangs (GT 350 main focus) and since I am in the middle of having my 66 Mustang 2+2 full resto I was happy for the positive press!!! I'll never sell my Mustang.....but nice to know what I am putting into is not a total waste of $$$. I'll check week 2 out.
  5. New Batmobile....just a 3D printed prototype....looks like it will be cool.
  6. I was privilege to meet the R2 guys Sat at NNL. I have talked and e-mail with John G for many years but never met. And all I can say is these guys are doing a great job. Deora is coming back with all the goodies like bubble back and bed cover!! John truly surprised me with a 'yellow' Kat from AMT for the help over the years.....really humbled me. God times now.....much more coming!!!!
  7. I'm sitting here in Columbus Oh..........wish I could be in Dayton tonight.....but too old to stay up late and head out early for Toledo...
  8. It's this kit........ FAR from state of the art....but not 100% trash.......
  9. I agree with Tim.......... I have only missed a few shows since 1983. At one time our group from Charlotte got so large we rented a BIG RV to attend. I do miss the huge toy/model sales floor. Last year I really didn't buy anything at all.....but had a GREAT time visiting with folks. But change is the only constant........
  10. One of the photo etch companies used to make SS rings. Each set came with a number of different sizes. Find those and apply to drilled hole.
  11. Two thumbs up!
  12. Best lookin of the Skoal cars!
  13. One thing when you are looking for a 1/1 car to measure and photograph......the owner must allow you to touch, climb all over and at times tape materials to the subject to get shapes and profiles correct. So at times, owners of really valuable vehicles, have a no touch rule......the 1/1 must also be convenient or near other subjects you can study too. I have no first hand info on the S&H car....but this is how it was years ago when I helped out with a few vehicles. 3 model cars in the RM line all lived within a mile of each other in NC......3 got to help with. So it can be a combination of 'whys'.
  14. I'll be there.....look for the black wheelchair guy!!
  15. VERY COOL!!!! that's how it looks!!
  16. And why I had the comment '. A regular oven temp is not regulated well enough. ' in my post......
  17. ALL my builds are run through my food dehydrator after body pint applied. If I use Tamiya I can paint in the morning and decal/foil that night. A regular oven temp is not regulated well enough.
  18. Okey Spalding has them from time to time.....also ebay etc. All 1/25 scale AMX's or Javelin AMX'S (71-74) were tooled by JoHan and sold by AMT and JoHan. We need a new tool Javelin that could spawn all the Javelin and AMX versions.
  19. Saw that in some ones recent contest coverage....thought it was cool.....reminds me of 'Dodge fever'....
  20. no pics!!
  21. I worked on mine today. I'll debut it at Toledo.......then here. Bur what I worked on fit very well. The way the windows fit was great. nice work!
  22. hanks for the offer....but I'll just order them after Toledo when I'm ready.
  23. Some of the newer COE truck cabs and the short tanker body. thx
  24. First review was back mid Sept.....including some completed builds....shouldn't be many surprises by now.
