  1. Should be cool when it's finished. David G.
  2. That's the color I chose for mine when I built it a couple of years back. I used Tamiya TS-22 Light Green which I painted over black primer to give the color some depth. I'm not intending to hijack your thread but here's how it turned out. Keep up the good work on yours. David G.
  3. Quite possibly the best build of this kit that I've seen. Excellent work! David G.

  9. Excellent paintwork, great color! David G.
  10. Time for a quick update. I noticed this during the initial inspection- a casting flaw or some other damage to the drip rail. Though I don't plan this as a top tier build, this is more than I am willing to let pass. I removed the offending bit and replaced it with a fresh piece of strip styrene. Shaped, smoothed, primed and ready for paint. It's not perfect but it's a significant improvement. I also have all the chassis bits painted and in the process of assembly, so I should have more photos soon. Thanks, David G.

  18. Sad news indeed about the paint damage. This has happened to almost all of us at one time or another. I have had luck in attempting a repair, other times it required a complete stripping and repaint. Luckily, it's such a small area that repair may work. From your earlier posts, it seems you have some skill with sandpaper. Try masking and sanding the damaged area to blend the edges where the paint was pulled, then respray. I've had to do this a few times and had good results. Aside from that, I wanted to comment on all the fantastic work you've done so far on this project. All the modifications you've made are very well done and will add much to the final appearance of the model. David G.
  19. That came out great! Clean and smooth, I love it. David G.
  20. Nicely Done! All those different colors on the chassis of the Chevy remind me of an illustration from one of those old "How It Works" books we all read as kids. David G.
  21. Nice work on the interior, excellent paint and detail. David G.
  22. Thank you Carl, your support is always appreciated. Thanks Beamerman, it's Tamiya TS 42 Light Green. I painted the chassis as a test to see how well the two colors played with each other. On the chassis, I painted the purple (TS 37 Lavender) first, then masked for the green areas. Not knowing how opaque the green was going to be, I sprayed a base coat of white first. I've since done a spoon test and found that the green will cover quite well straight over the purple and this will tone down the florescence a good deal and hopefully, bring the colors into a better relation to one another. Thank you Bil. I've built a pretty good collection of Bat-Vehicles and I wanted a Joker-Mobile to round things out a bit. My Joker is somewhere between Jack Nicholson's and Heath Ledger's, still kind of campy but getting more dangerous. David G.
  23. Excellent job, very convincing weathering and detail work! The tow bar is a nice addition. David G.
