That is so wild. And its amazing its based on an actual vehicle rather than someones imagination of a vehicle. Keep up the good work.

A different approach to getting a new jobbobthehobbyguy replied to youpey's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge Its also easy to guess why she was fired from her last job.

Model Master pearl yellow coveragebobthehobbyguy replied to Bucket T's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials What process do you do for paint prep? On most bodies there is a slight raised edge along the panel lines. If you don't sand the body and knock down those edges the paint will pull back. That's what I've found in my case.

Side by side by side Dragster builds...Kemp-Teresi-Sobakbobthehobbyguy replied to ClayK's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models Came out great. I'm curious if you did any mods for attaching the front axle. Would please show a picture of the front axle setup. Thanks.

Model Train Show - offending the puristsbobthehobbyguy replied to iamsuperdan's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge When I talk a hobby being fun I mean you have to enjoy what you are doing. If you enjoy whimsical then do it , if you enjoy ultra realistic then do that. Don't fell obligated to do something to please someone else if that isn't the way you want to do it. If you don't get pleasure from what you do then its time to find another hobby.

Nice job. Great save by changing direction and weathering it. Very realistic weathering. Some times a model tells you how it want to be finished.

Love it. Great idea using the duct tape. Instead of getting discouraged you found a creative way to hide the problem.

Model Train Show - offending the puristsbobthehobbyguy replied to iamsuperdan's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge Some lose sight that a hobby is supposed to be fun. Whimsical is always an option. I enjoy looking at a wide range of modeling expression from the whimsical to the ultra realistic. Life would be boring if everybody did the same thing.

One hazard to watch out for is getting an infection due to the numbness. I have type 2 diabetes. Was having issues with hammer toes. Has my general practioner refer me to a foot Dr.. He did a check to see how good the feeling in my feet were. I'm lucky I don't have issues. However the foot doctor said he said he has a lot of diabetes patients that have severe infections because of numbness. Be sure to check your feet regularly to make sure you have no issues.

Great set. I think a pickup would have been a better choice for the tow vehicle. Maybe the 53 ford pickup. Would be hard to bring tools and parts with the stock piranha.

Would it bother you?bobthehobbyguy replied to mchook's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars) It doesn't matter how much work you put in it or if you got paid. Buying a piece of art entitles you to own it and display it but not to take credit for the work done. Exactly.

Haven't heard from Ace Garage Guy for awhilebobthehobbyguy replied to High octane's topic in Where's Waldo? Exactly!! Any site has rules, that is not censorship. It is your choice whether you want to accept those rules. The government telling you what you can and cannot say is trampling your right of free speech.

Bantam Fuel Altered - New pics 1-7bobthehobbyguy replied to Codi's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models Great pictures. Those should be in your build book for this masterpiece.

Bantam Fuel Altered - New pics 1-7bobthehobbyguy replied to Codi's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models Its beautiful work. However it really should be painted becuase no altered would have a brass chassis. Second for the period the frame would have been painted. No finishing frames has only been a recent thing. However its your model and you should finish as you think it looks best.

The sole function of the forum is to provide an environment for exchanging information about model cars and trucks. For me this is an oasis so that I can avoid the craziness of the world today. There are plenty of other venues for other topics. Facebook and Twitter are open forums for all topics including religion and politics.
