  1. Francis I have a question about the dash panel did you make a template for the panel. If not how did you get such a precise fit.
  2. Great update. That dash is cool. Love seeing how you approach creating each piece to this puzzle.
  3. I think that using a builder makes sense if you plan on making upgrades to the kit. To me start with a new kit if you plan to build it basically box stock.
  4. Lost in the world today is elegant design. Elegant design is finding the best solution to a problem. Unfortunately the solution to problems are typically overly complex. Unnecessary complexity leads to things being less reliable.
  5. Although we can create different labels for modeling. I think that it is more common for us to fit into different categories at any time depending on a variety of circumstances.
  6. I was looking at the SEMA 2023 coverage and the Ring Brothers didn’t do any hot rods. Would love to see them do more.
  7. You lucked out. It seems for me is the kit or parts I'm looking for are always at the bottom of the pile.
  8. Great start. Kits provide the material to follow the vision. Kitbashing allows you to create whatever you want.
  9. At the end of last year issue 86 was announced. I tried to see what was going on but the website is gone. They have a Facebook page but I don't do Facebook. Anyone know what going on with them?
  10. Looking forward to when you start back on this.
  11. Exactly. If you kill the spiders then the bugs they eat are going to be a problem. If I get one in the house I move them outside.
  12. When dragracing started there was little thought to safety. There were no fire suits. I remember reading the Don Garlits got burned badly and was lucky becuase he was wearing a heavy leather jacket. Every rule that is in place today come from learning the hard way unfortunately.
  13. Does anybody know the statues of the Galaxie tooling? They had some of the really Monogram dragster, the trailers, and the chevies.
  14. Plus the guy waits to buy it at Ollie's.
  15. Great project. Some interesting techniques. Keep up the good work.
  16. Check out this video. There a lots more paint information on this youtube site.
  17. Which kit is it? What year was it done?
  18. Looks good to me.
  19. All good points Dan. Lots of things to be considered. Most relevant is how many would be interested in paying for it. Added thought. Although there may be an interest in a digital archive there are some major hurdles to be overcome for it to happen.
  20. Back on to squirrels. When I lived in silicon Valley I used to watch use the squirrels use the phone lines as pathways. They do the same thing here. They are also fearless. When they want to go from the front yard to the back they run up one of the big trees, banzai onto to roof, run across the roof(they can be heavy footed), and then leap to a tree in the back.
  21. A question was asked and an answer was given. Obviously this wasn't the answer some wanted to hear. In the meantime Dave is working on fixing the current board issues and we also are getting close to seeing a new issue of MCM. Again thank you for keeping this site running smoothly and your and the others efforts with giving us a great magazine and website experience.
  22. Thanks Dave. It's the devil in the details. Lots to consider. At this point keep on making the magazine better with each issue.
