  1. Claude and Jay . Great insights. Thanks for sharing them.
  2. So true. Normally wounds will heal if you leave them alone. Unfortunately this is a cancer and will only get worse with time.
  3. Cool. Love it. Double dragster kit is really versatile. Glad this got bumped up I missed it the first time around,
  4. Cool. Interesting concept. Well done.
  5. Very cool. Nicely done. I have one of those sizzler bodies and the lil coffin kits might just do one myself. Interesting I don't remember seeing that article. Thanks for showing it.
  6. Preston you asked the question should paasche waive the shipping charge for gaskets. My answer was no you made a faulty assumption. Dan responded likewise. Now you want to debate the answer. You're lucky as the wasn't an expensive mistake. Best action is to learn from your mistake otherwise you will make it again.
  7. Its a sad commentary that such bad behavior is considered typical.
  8. Yup. Preston it's not Paasches fault for you making the wrong assumption. The picture you saw was exactly what you were getting.
  9. Sad thing is we were being given a special preview of the kit. Doubt any manufacturer viewing that train wreck will want to subject themselves to the nonsense that went on. End result is the minority ruining it for the rest of us.
  10. Hey even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day. Hope springs eternal for mediocrity. I understand the modelers for mediocrity are planning to revive Palmer. Giving all a chance to build mediocre models.
  11. Many years ago I worked as a eecurity guard. I had the relief shift(2 graves, 2 swings and a day. Did it for 3 months and I was a mess. There were times when I wasn't sure if I was going to bed or getting out of bed.
  12. Well one possibility is a measurement issue. But without having access to original data we won't know. I'm sure there are other possible problem areas in the process. However before drawing any conclusion one would have to do some investigation rather than drawing an arbitrary conclusion. At least that's how I approach solving any problem.
  13. My deepest condolences.
  14. Stunning. Great color choice. Clean work.
  15. Well a Bronx cheer to the minority that contributed to the chevy 2 gasser test shot review fiasco. I get some weren't happy with the body but there is also a lot good in this new kit. However most of us don't see the roof as an issue or don't necessary see a problem with the roof. Too many times any flaws in a kit overshadow any of the positives. For the majority it is a great kit. For those not happy no kit manufacturer is going to spend thousands of dollars to fix a problem to sell a few more kits when the majority is happy with the product. I've added several names to my ignore list. Nothing any of that selfish minority says is worth wasting time reading. Thanks for ruining it for all of us.
  16. Thanks for a cool detailing tip.
  17. Tim. Just curious would taking material off the top of the doors be another solution. That obviously would be more involved. Looking forward to these new kits. Tim will there be a chance for you to do this review on the other stock version.
  18. So right Snake. Sometimes we have to adapt and improvise. Although not an ideal solution it seems like a quick way to improve the top's appearance.
  19. Yup. Been saying this for awhile.
  20. So right Terry. Tim has done a lot for the hobby. His intention was to provide a complete overview of the gasser kit. Too often one problem with a kit will drown out all of the positive aspects of a given kit. All he asked us was to wait to the end of his presentation was complete. We all know how that went. Instead some took it as a way to question his motives. Second insulting the model companies does not help our cause. Every project has a budget, and each phase has a part of that budget. No company will survive if those budgets are exceded. With the current market those budgets are a lot tighter these days. Ultimately we have to decide which kits we want to buy and build. But it ie not our place to chastise others for what that choice is.
  21. Nicely done. Once again your persistence has prevailed. Hopefully your next build will go smoother.
  22. So Mike I'd guess its safe to assume you won't be buying the new Nova gasser kit. Gotta say new releases have something for everyone. For some its a great new kit to build, for others its something to complain about.
