  1. As best I can tell, that is the way the kit is. Assuming you can find one. This is what Tim was referencing. A lot of turbo setups in AMERICAN manufacturer kits seem to have odd plumbing.
  2. I've avoided "playing" because it is just wishful thinking. But, I gave in and offer these (but I have others in mind as well):
  3. Best bet is get a detail kit from Detail Master, MCG or others and get First Aid paper tape if for a street vehicle. I lay it on a small piece of glass, cut it and color it. For a race car, I often use Solder Remover. It can be shaped and colored and you would use racing style hardware. Or look for sets like these:
  4. Heard of them but never really saw one in use. And the plumbing did not look right
  5. Amen to that. The unbuilt models, the tools, paints, paint booth, airbrushes, HO scale stuff never unpacked when we moved here, etc. I actually gave away some built models that were less interesting to me to help lighten the load.
  6. Wallet is safe again. Which is good, since we are in the process of moving.
  7. Just double check the plumbing if you have one of these. You will see the carburetor is atop the airbox, not receiving the denser air.
  8. Albion Alloys Slide fit aluminum tube https://www.amazon.com/Slide-Fit-Aluminum-Tubes-1-0mm/dp/B017JDQ342/ref=lp_12685035011_1_2?srs=12685035011&ie=UTF8&qid=1517717477&sr=8-2

  10. Does not the AMT double dragster with the Fiat body and period rail have a Potvin blower option? Does not the AMT parts pack have a 283 with Potvin Option?
  11. For street vehicles, I aim for 32 or 34 awg insulated wire. 30 awg for racing. That said, I have a stash of older Detail Master and MCG wire that I bought years back when it was just easy to pick up at the local LHS. Radio Shack, when it was around, sold wrapping wire that was a good option. I have also found that headsets for cordless phones, which fail, have thin wire that can be used for many options.
  12. Yes I will. Won't start them until after we've moved and settled in. I was thinking, longer term, of displaying these and others (F12 Novitec N-Largo, La Ferrari, etc,) in a diorama relecting something the Irongate Motor Condos
  13. These have arrived in the past 9 days. Just catching up.
  14. The SS 454 engine looks undersized to me. It is as if the modified they used the small block with new heads. Since it is packed away, I can't dig it out to check with other BBC's. An 84 would, IIRC, use a TH 400. There are a lot of BBC engines in kits. The big consideration is finding the one with the closest intake setup and accessory belts to match your 84
  15. When you say Pro-Touring parts, you referenced a chassis. But, what type of parts do you seek? Suspension components? Brakes? Wheels/tires (which are the most referenced above)? engine/engine mods? Interior parts such as seats, dash mods, etc. (again a bit referenced above)? Body kits?
  16. I am seeing these on recent photos of the real car, but not in the spot on the model
  17. Bob Paeth had a HUGE collection before he passed away. Since he had worked for Revell, he had the ability to get all those goodies and hang on to them. I wonder what happened with that?
  18. Tuner Model Manufactory T2M makes a more realistic working set but are hard to acquire and need even more work to apply
  19. The set I used on my Hemi Dart are fairly realistic looking. But avoid inserting and removing the pins too many times as they are fragile.
