Johan prices $$$$

Not to mention that lack of a vinyl top on the Johan version ... -
AMT M&H Racemaster Dragster Slicks & Parts Pack Tires
1972coronet replied to Gregg's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I wonder if the 'street' tyres are comparable-in-size to , say , a 205 70 14 ? Or , are they skinny like the ca.2011-issue 'stones ? -
Super classy coupe ! I especially like the opened vent windows ! Nice touch .

The DOHC Hemi from the 1970 Super Bee Pro Street would be even better !

Quite looking forward to watching this bad boy come together ! Reason for the various engine colours on the 1969 340 : - Red = 1968 . Some leftover 340s in plants such as Los Angeles were red through at least Dec. '68 production (based upon seeing an all-original '69 GTS , L.A. plant build in Dec. '68). - Turquoise . The majority of 1969 340s were painted Turquoise . - Orange = 1970-mid 1971 . Typically , plants such as Hamtramck and Windsor , Ontario , had orange engines by ca.June 1969 . Basically , one can't go wrong with Turquoise ... especially in a model which won't have a production date P.S. : Are you planning to use the Duster's air conditioning and / or Thermo-Quad carburetor ? Just curious .

Early 60s Mopar Dog Dish Hubcaps
1972coronet replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
FWIW : the car in the 3rd sample image is adorned with the early-1975 & later "generic" hubcaps . While based-upon the 1969-late '74 hubcaps , they were obviously sans the Dodge or Plymouth name(s) . I'm sure that you've scoped out -

Gorgeous Imp ! I recognise the "Juvie Knob" shifter ... did you make that ? Your B-bod reminds me of the kinds of Lowriders I'd see where I grew up : nice , clean lines , with tasteful custom touches . -

Lindberg Dodge 330
1972coronet replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've only seen the hardtop ; not sure if they made a 'sedan' . When I bought the Lindberg version (for the sum of its parts) , I ostensibly gave little-to-no consideration of the Lindberg's proportions ; I only wanted its Slant Six / 727 , and some of its other parts for a planned Slant Six 1968 Fury Patroller . But , when I did peruse the kit's contents , I did find that the body didn't look right , but gave it no consideration beyond that . -
Lindberg Dodge 330
1972coronet replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I too have a copy of the Jo-Han version ; that's the one I'm going to (eventually) build . The Lindberg version is , IMO , little more than a parts kit --- an excellent source for a Slant Six , 727 trans. , and a B/RB engine . -
'80 f-150 stepside
1972coronet replied to JTPlastic&Paint's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That is a fantastic piece of art , man ! That interior looks so incredibly realistic --- love the texture and finish of the rubber floor mat ! Add a handful of cracks to the dash pad , and it'll look like a Southwest U.S. truck ! UNderhill-75309 ... -
I like it ! Looks like a period piece ; like it was built back in the 60's or 70's ( a compliment ) . I've got the same recently-reissued kit ; the moulded-in-Gold-Metallic version . It's on my "polished plastic" list . Keep up the great work !

66 Suburban
1972coronet replied to Redisetta's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Nice Suburban ! Nice colour choice ---- Tamiya's Camel Yellow ? Keep 'em coming ! -
Love the finish on its paint --- looks more realistic than a glossy finish ; great work ! I'm still S-L-O-W-L-Y building the c.1990 issue of the Revell 1967 SS-396 Chevelle ; it'll be my first build in almost 13 years ( I gave up for a while when my mum fell-ill ... just getting back into things again ). Keep it up , man !

The 1971 LS-6 ! The elusive 1971 LS-6 ! The fables and folklore are true : these actually were produced ! Virtual anomalies --- akin to the 1972 440+6 engines . Here are two examples ... UNREAL ! http://www.superchevy.com/features/1802-rare-1971-ls6-corvette-is-uncovered/

Have you tried the Molotow Chrome Pen(s) yet ? The 1 mm tip is perfect for interior trim ; and , it's easily covered (e.g. , painted-over) if one "colours-outside-the-lines" . Great work on this beauty from the Malaise Era ! Keep up the beautiful job !

These guys came to mind when I read this thread's title : Small Faces ! Steve Marriott ( 'The Artful Dodger' ) and the Small Faces , London , c.1966 .

YES !! Been wanting that one for the longest time !! ( just make sure to leave that deeply-tinted glass and those ad nauseam BF Goodrich tyres out ! )

- MPC : - Chevette annuals - Vega / Monza (with the Pro Stock chassis --- no moulded-on exhaust !) - Mustang II - 1978 Chevy Pickup ( obviously backdated --- but would be okay with the GMC livery , but with the two-wheel-drive parts from the '78 annual added back in) - 1977-78 Monaco Police Car (with normal-sized wheels and tyres !!) - E150 Van - 1973-1978 Camaro AMT : - Courier (with stock parts) - "Star Truk" [sic] - Subaru BRAT - 1970-1973 Camaro SS
