  1. I’m just glad that the Alphonso commercials seem to have run their course.. and that AT&T brought back Lily!
  2. Hey Alan! Great project and I’m watching!
  3. Yup, anything but a Diet Coke tastes like sugar water... my wife will buy Coke Zero and I cannot drink it!
  4. I think it won’t be long because some enterprises resin caster will be offering a four door sedan. I will wait! And if we are real lucky someone will offer 68s as well!
  5. First progress shot for the new round! Finally got a decent coat of paint on the body. Hood still needs a few coats to brighten it up. Completed four cylinder engine sitting in foreground, wired. Couldn’t find the transfer case so I grabbed a fresh one from a kit and assembled the three parts. Otherwise the chassis could have been assembled. Will have to fit / fabricate the exhaust and drive shafts since the engine is foreign to to chassis
  6. Next round! Sign me up for the pair of Jeepsters
  7. My progress shots are mostly taken on the work bench. Final shots are usually outdoors with my backyard as a backdrop. My base is a board I painted with Floquil model railroad pavement textured spray.
  8. Make sure to rustproof the Nightstalker body it you could end up with this! ?
  9. Before and after pix? They raised it and gave it a good power washing? ?
  10. The good news is that this thread has made me realize how many of my unfinished projects I’ve completed in the past few years! Still there is more to be done. A few more.. Don't ask why I decided to build from this photo! I realize that the car is different from my kit, just capturing the essence! It’s one of those “Do I think I can?...” projects to see if I could credibly create the inner structure. My personal Heller Hell! The kit overall is very nicely detailed and fiddly like an early Revell kit.. like one of the Roth kits. The body is supposed to assemble onto the chassis as a final step after paint. Well, it didn’t do it and I screwed up painted surfaces. I have a second kit to try again. After I did my 59 Chevy convertible junker this was the follow up. This is as far as got.. again the fun of scratching out the inner structure. And a fun little project. The kit is a little van body and most the ones you see are flatbeds.
  11. I love the perfect flame job and colors chosen!
  12. Very cool. Love that you opened all those panels!
  13. I’ve seen guys who set flexible poster board as a sweep, that is as an arc with no visible seam. I think I’d go more that direction.
  14. Hey, I’m not gonna make it! I’ve had paint issues with the Jeepster and while otherwise 80% done I cannot push it. Part of why it’s not done is that I’ve done some extensive mods, such as changing the entire bed section and fitting a four cylinder to it. This is sitting in the chassis which is complete other than still needing to figure out an exhaust. And I am building a second Jeepster at the same time! And that one is about at the same percentage of completion. Renew me for the next session! Put me down for a pair of Jeepsters this time. Back to painting the bridge!
  15. This one arrived in yesterday’s mail. Ordered on eBay on Thursday, arrived Monday.. not bad! i ordered it because I wanted to see how the custom seats would work in my 1959 Buick. I am surprised that the seats, aside from the custom buttons etc are pretty flat and straight, the front bench has no seat back divide for a 2 door. Almost like doll house furniture. They may make their way into pickups in the future. The kit was sealed and to add insult to injury, a tire was nearly glued to the windshield. Oh well, a parts kit bought cheap.
  16. Cool! Lemme know how you like it!
  17. I build to satisfy the voices in my head and the few strange souls who get my work!
