Me thinks folks missed the obvious.. Round 2 now has Roth licensing!

Since these icons are here and pretty much unassigned, we can give values to them! We Like! You Funny! Your model looks like it was built by a fourth grader! Here’s your trophy! You shouldn’t be allowed to give advise! Yo mamma builds Palmer kits!

I know a guy who would throw away all the extra parts and the box upon each kit completion. When asked why he doesn’t keep it in case a future model needs a part, he just rolled his eyes and said every kit came with everything you needed to build it! The rest was just clutter!

These exercises remind me of a story.... Back in the day I belonged to a few model car clubs. There was a fellow who whined constantly that a model company needed to come out with a new kit of a '66 Chevy Impala. We told him to buy an old annual. Nope, that was too expensive for him! So what happens? Revell does it! And at our meeting a dealer brought a full case of them to sell cheaper than at hobby shops! Was this guy happy? No, he wanted someone to buy one and open it so he could see the contents before he'd buy one! Everyone else was happy that there was a new kit. And we all bought one. Seeing the sealed kits sitting at our places, this guy kept haunting people... would someone open one up? We all just smirked and refused to comply. There was one kit left for sale from the case... would he buy it? Nope!

What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)

One of my stamp collecting friends surprised me with these yesterday! That made my day! From the early years of automobile manufacturing... My favorite is the Velie. That was John Deere's grandson... an interesting story: https://travelingadventuresofafarmgirl.com/2019/01/14/velie-plantation-history-lives-on-in-moline-illinois/ -
Agreed! I buy a 100 pack of real exacto blades on eBay as needed. I don’t buy the cheap knock offs, they just aren’t as good. And to dispose of used blades, I wrap them in blue tape before they hit the trash!

And the runs!

Back when Model King brought back this kit, the big rant on the boards was that the steering wheel was misaligned. Dave went to all the trouble to resurrect this ancient kit and this is what our community focused on. Above was my response! Note- the steering wheel was misaligned on the original issue.

Truck Overload

That is unique and cool! I especially like the two characters sitting up front on top of the load! -
It’s an old tool Bob. Not as good as the recent Revell 29 or 32s. But better than ancient Revell kits. The Coke decal sheet in this version is downright beautiful!

It’s funny.. I posted about an old 1932 movie ? and people knew about it! Here’s what I’ve kept in my DVR from Turner Classics and watch once my wife has fallen asleep in her chair.. The Affairs of Annabelle 1938 - Lucille Ball. A comedy, funny in an ancient slapstick way. It was interesting to see young Lucy… she was 27 in the movie! She Done Him Wrong 1933 -Mae West and Cary Grant. Interesting historic movie. Music was bad. The origin of some of Mae’s classic lines like “Why Don’t You Come Up And See Me Sometime?” I don’t get the whole Mae West appeal as she slurs her words.. guess that was sexy in 1933. Story line was flawed as Mae was pretty much a singer in a bar but was rich and had lots of diamonds.. And then we tried to go a bit more contemporary 1982s Diner.. slow moving and an anti-climatic end.. one of those movies where you keep watching because it just has to get better. It didn’t.. and it ended like someone threw the emergency brake on in a train!

You gotta do the full interior! It’s not all that difficult since everything is straight lines. I did the Dodge van trailer and have a 51 Chevy camper half done in my pile! -
Super build! I love the Tom Daniel customs

Looks great! Love the colors

Any chance of seeing this 1962 chrysler

Yup.. window tools would be fairly easy if an existing example would be supplied. No need to tool those old wonky tires. Only need to modify the kit's wheels to accept tires they can currently supply.
