  1. Like the long low look. The slightly lower rear ride height would seem accurate for a car with that Continental Kit hanging off the back bumper. The paint finish and chrome body trim look great and the interiors contrasting color looks good.
  2. The Gull Wing Doors are a major undertaking. Like the later power train and the colors for the body and interior, and how you combined the split window body with the '67 style hood.
  3. Nice color. I have an old Johan Lark like this that I picked up 30+ years ago and have threatened to redo it for years. I'll enjoy watching what you do with your build.
  4. Good looking paint colors and finish. The chrome trim came out great.
  5. Great looking color and finish. The decal almost covers the passenger door issue, most might not even notice if they hadn't followed your build.
  6. I like the realistic looking body finish. Nice to see a Ford in a Ford. Like the chrome wheels.
  7. Enjoyed watching your build on this. The paint finish looks super smooth especially considering the body work you had to do. Great looking trim and wheels.
  8. Great looking paint work and the interior colors add to the look.
  9. Beautiful looking color and finish. The chrome trim all looks cleanly done. Like the showroom look.
  10. Great looking paint work and body trim. The wheels really change the overall look of your build.
  11. Great looking GTO. While I didn't have a vinyl roof on any of my cars at the time, they sure were popular. As for the roof color, as you mentioned it could just as easily have been something added after the fact as that was a popular thing to do. Like the clean looking body trim and the stance. The wheels are very eye catching.
  12. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the stance and hood scope.
  13. Like the body color and the interior is in keeping with your tuner theme.
  14. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I also like the wide variety of cars and the way they have been fixed up.
  15. Sure pays to take good care of an Automobile. Many used to POPO these cars, but I would disagree. My wife's '12 Dodge Avenger RT was at 98K when we traded it on her '22 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk. The only repair in that time was a leaky A/C fitting that was at about 75K miles. Nothing but regular maintenance and one set of tires and brakes.
  16. I guess I didn't realize that the AMT kit wasn't originally from MPC. There was a lot going on in the industry at the time. I'm a fan of the Nova and have owned a few as well as driving them as demos at the time so I'll pick up this reissue based on your information.
  17. I did as well. I checked out and poked around on YouTube at some of the Rally Racing. Returned to the sight around noon and everything seems fine now.
  18. This talk of offering the Chevelle Malibu 400 conversion reminds me of a customer's car from that era. He never let me see under the hood, but the exhaust note caught my interest. We were all trying to dodge the high insurance rates of the time for anyone under 30 and driving anything but a 6-cylinder car let alone something with any power. He told me he had to order his since the local dealers didn't seem to even know about it. His insurance agent insured it as a Malibu two door hardtop without any consideration as to what was under the hood. The guy wasn't a crazy driver, and I don't recall him ever really getting on it. Neat looking silver sleeper.
  19. The Nova kit looks interesting, but I hope they have corrected the rear side windows shape. The original kit has the windows shaped like a cross between the coupe and the Hatchback and not correct for either one. Can envision some LN, SS and Rally Nova variants.
  20. Great looking paint finish and decals. Like the stance and the wide whites.
  21. The body finishes look great, and the body trim looks very cleanly done. What scale is this kit? I built on of these several years ago, didn't look this good, that was a 1/12th scale.

Perfect color and great looking finish. I'm surprised at the problems with the paint that you mentioned, has not been an issue here. Like the style with the white top insert, interior and firewall.
  23. Great looking body color and finish and the interior compliments the body color. I like the cowl induction hood. Was that a resin part or did you graft it from a different kit? The rally wheels just always look good on a Chevy.
  24. Thanks Ron. We were both married before, and we have come to realize the things that you can and can't accept from someone you wish to spend the rest of your life with. We got married in 1985 and we still enjoy each other's company. We have been there for each other through the good times and the bad and life can through in some real bad at times, but we have faced it together and are still going strong.
  25. We have an unknown neighbor who has put their dog droppings in our empty trash bin outside. I do appreciate that the take the time to put the dog's leavings in a plastic zip lock instead of leaving it on someone's yard. The problem in this case is that they put in our roll out bin after the trash had been picked up and before I could roll it back into our garage. In this case there was enough moisture on the bottom of the dumpster along with whatever else may have been on the zip lock. Didn't realize that there was a pile in the dumpster until mid-week when I was putting some trash in the dumpster that was starting smell really bad. Put the dumpster out with the trash the second week but the zip lock stayed stuck to the bottom of the bin. I was able to get it free from inside the dumpster and put inside another bigger better secured zip lock and the stench is almost gone, but the source is still in the dumpster until next week when they pick up the trash. Now why wouldn't someone who is picking up after their dog put this in their own dumpster instead of ours knowing that the trash had already been picked up?
