Went to the Ollie's in Overland Park Ks yesterday. All they have is a bunch of Thunderbird looking slammers and a few 1/32nd '32 Fords. I don't think I have ever seen much more than that at this store.

Might want to double check the part numbers on the taillights as they may have a right and a left side part number. Sometimes in the prep and detailing stages from when a part is removed from their spruce it can be easily switched from side to side without noticing.

Suggest studying as many pictures of the '68 Camaros as you can find. and ask your father about any old pictures he may have. The obvious major differences between the '67 and '68-year models are the vent windows deleted on the '68's along with the basic grill and taillight shapes. That is in itself a problem since there were many optional trim levels and many optional trim were even a standalone option in some cases.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay you for it. Put up on E-Bay and start it at $100.00 and see what happens.

Not to add to your misery, but have you noticed the rear edge of the hood and how it doesn't hide the firewall between the front fender and the A pillar?

While a born car crazy kid I never really noticed sports cars. The XK 120 changed all that for me. To this day I still think their body lines just will never go out of style.

Your post was coming in as I was writing mine. They asked for my approval to add your first and I agreed of course. There is a range of scribing tools out there and I have tried a few. I have picked up some that look like dental tools that work OK for me in some instances. I had been using a tool from Excel that seemed good until I bought the Tamiya Plastic Scriber II. That is now my go-to tool. I enjoy seeing what others are using as it will give me additional ideas, but in the end we all have something that works best for how we do our builds.

A lot of good suggestions by others, and what I was sort of suggesting going in. I would like to add something that I and I'm sure many others do in preparation to adding chrome foil. During the very initial phase of body prep when you're getting panel lines and door openings scribed, include outlining body trim that you will be using chrome foil on in the finishing stages. The reason for this is that the edge of the trim will be easier to find and give the blade a line or grove to follow.

The paint finish in the first picture looks like it may be a real car. Beautiful looking detailing everywhere you look.

The unfortunate reality is that a Seal, even a youngster, may and could bite and it would be as bad or worse than a larger dog bite.

I have only seen pictures of 1:1 cars of this nature, but this sure looks like some of the ones I have seen. The body finish has the rough look to it. This is a build you have to really look and study for a while as you keep finding little details everywhere you look. Like the duel rear tire setup.
