Great looking paint work. Like the engine and the stance.
-
Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Despite the body proportions you mentioned it looks great the way you have done it here,
-
Great job of combining parts to make a realistic looking Mustang. Like the orange paint work and the body trim all looks good. Nice stance and the wheels and tires look good.
-
You mention being disappointed about the Bel Air body side trim being removed. The side trim can be recreated using different sizes of moldings from Plastruct or Evergreen styrene strips. They both offer a wide verity of sizes and shapes.
-
Have you compared them too any other Pegasus tires? They sure look like their tires.

Is it just me, or is this picture reversed ?

I agree with everyone else on the paint color. I like the way you detailed the wheels and tires.

What would YOU like to see as a model

Never did hear a story as to what GM was thinking when they brought these to market. The middle of the night delivery is not entirely unheard of, and I think it may depend more on where the dealership is located. On a Saturday we would close the store between 6 pm and sometimes later depending on traffic. The Motor Transport drivers would put the keys to the vehicles dropped off in the Service Dept. night drop box. There were times when a couple of us would stick around and help them unload and we would put the new vehicles in Service where they would be secured for the weekend. As for the Chalets I think they may have been many years ahead of their time. The last few years the "Overlanding" craze has become popular, and these are pretty much what people are building for that style of camping and off-road today. As I recall they were a little pricy even when new. Every Chevrolet dealership I interacted with got one and was never given an option of not getting one. I remember a lot of strange things happening like this when I was in the car business. -

Great looking build and I like the way you detailed the interior. -
I like the big metallic paint. This has the "look" and the "stance". Nice looking engine and I like how you did the wheels.
-
Great looking build. Your version looks far better than the Movie Car does.

You are correct. The novelty of it now would make it much more interesting than what the real thing was way back when. -
At least you have the photos showing what it was. I would have one of those in the background when you show it when you're done.

This is looking good. I don't remember which Ford truck model had the Merc tail lights as an option.

I would agree with Mike C. on the square body GM pickups and Blazers. Partially since I have owned a couple so you know I would want to build copies of them at this point, but I also think that they would be profitable for the model companies as well. As for the Chevrolet Blazer with the camper option? Well, I was working for a Chevrolet Dealership at the time these came to market. We couldn't give it away; it was just sale proof. -
Thanks for reminding me of the correct name, Tow'd. One of the guys I rode dirt bikes with at the time bought one. We were all living in the San Bernardino Mountain area in southern California, and he would drive this thing often. The traffic laws at the time there were only loosely enforced if at all.

Great looking engine room and chassis.

Don't recall that one, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. -

Great looking finishes. Alway felt NASCAR cheated Mark Martin got out of the championship when the docked the team for what they called an illegal carb. plate and took points from him as well. -
Great looking engine details. The body color and the gold wheels look good together. Nice looking remade hood.
-
Beautiful looking showroom style build. Always a fan of cars from that era.
-
Great looking build. I liked the attention to details in your build. Like the dirt track rear tires and the wheels used.

Great clean looking representation of the Monkeemobile.
