What Kind Of Music Do You Listen To While You Build?
espo replied to Miatatom's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I understand at that is the way I took it. I remember a song from years ago called "The sound of silence". Always liked it. -
You're moving right along on this build. I also like the slight color contrast on your seat colors. A thought on the silver portion. A couple of colors to consider are Tamiya X-32 Titanium Silver and the darker XF-56 Metallic Grey. These are both brush bottles but can be also bought as a spray can. They also work well on engine and chassis detailing. Have you decided on a body color yet?

WANTED: 1946-48 Plymouth coupe
espo replied to Jim thornton's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The many times reissued AMT Plymouth coupe might give you a good starting point. You would have to create the Grill, but I think everything else would work fine. -
The chopped top looks great. I like the white paint treatment on the sides, much like the lower-level trimmed Chryslers. The paint finish is very shinny and smooth looking.

Great looking base Chevrolet. Your color matches what they called Danube Blue Mt. and happened to be the color of my '66 Impala SS. The overall body shape looks very correct here. Did you have any issues with the MCW casting?

Beautiful looking paint and trim. I enjoyed following your build on this and your attention to detail.

Amazing transformation. Sort of like a Caterpillar that becomes a Butterfly. The roof idea looks great, and the paint work really finishes the look.

Beautiful looking paint finish and color. Since the only Z-28's that I remember seeing here had the rear spoiler it is striking to see one without. The Blue interior looks just like the one I remember that a friend had long ago. All of the finishes are very realistic looking.

The Moebius kits are well worth the premium price. I also took advantage of the information that Bill was so kind to post on his build. The suggestions went a long way to help overcome the issues with this kit. The only suggestion I might offer is to check your clearances between the back side of the grill and the radiator core support. I have this and the Catalina kit waiting for my attention. Look forward to following your build here.

I recall several years ago that the circle style seals were tried here in the US. I think the reason it was stopped was that it just wasn't enough of a deterrent for those with sticky fingers from getting inside and removing whatever they were after, Shame we have to live in a world where so many individuals behave in this fashion.

Interesting. For myself I just prefer to have no distractions when building and just focus on whatever it is I'm working on. -

I really seem to enjoy the silence. I have tried different background programs but find them distracting. -
Using that tap is a good idea and it looks like it is even the thickness looks to be in scale.

I wasn't sure about the paint colors at first, but I think it better shows the body lines. I like the red stripe dividing the two colors.
-
Beautifully done body and paint work. The interior is a nice contrast.
-
I agree with the custom body work you have done here. I enjoyed watching you do the body work and overcome some of the paint problems that you encountered. The paint is a real standout for both the color and the finish.

Great looking street machine. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Clean looking engine and body trim. realistic looking stance.
-
Beautiful looking finishes. A lot of great fabrication design on the chassis and engine. Very nice-looking interior work as well.

Super smooth paint finish. The side draft carbs on the blower look good.

'56 Ford Victoria Facsimile Movie Car
espo replied to blizzy63's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Great looking build. Looking at some of the pictures from the movie you can tell this had to be a movie prop. Notice the '56 Chevrolet on the outside in the one picture. That looks more like a well-used short track car. Nothing against your build since you did copy the movie car well. Annett, I had a crush on that lady going back to when she was wearing ears on the Micky Mouse Club. Your build looks nice enough to reinstall the lights and glass and go cruising Colorado Blvd. -
Great looking build. The fade paint job really stands out.

Two thumbs up on the sand pile. That is original thinking there.
