Great looking little kart. -
Taillight upgrade - suggestions needed
espo replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I would suggest the BMF as I have seen others use it and they seemed pleased with it. Another idea is to use the aluminum foil type used inside of cigarette packaging. One side has a quilted type of finish. -
American offered a 5 spoke wheel that had the nick name of "Coke Bottle" that were their 200s model wheels. These bring a whole new meaning to the "Coke Bottle" name.

Help Help Mr. Bill. Gumby Green is a good name for this color. I like the engine and concept of your build.

Great looking paint work.

The Maroon body with the gold stripes looks great.

I like the background on your build. Always interesting building a model of a car you owned years ago and all of the memories that start coming back to you. A possible note on your wheels. I notice the Good Year tires and I work in the Good Year retail stores at that time. We sold a couple of brands of wheels and yours look like the Shelby brand. In fact if you look at my Avatar that is a model of my old '67 El Camino and it had Shelbys on it as well. Look forward to following your build here.

What did you see on the road today?

That looks like the limited edition Fordelet with the optional circus wheels. -
1932 ford roadster oem style top

One possibility that comes to mind would be the original AMT '32 Roadster kit. This was the original 3 in 1 kit. -
Great looking color and finish.

Beautiful looking paint and I like the OEM style engine trim.

Pro touring 70 1/2 Camaro (Dutchboys 2015 SEMA tribute)

This is a very exceptional looking Camaro. I enjoyed following your build and seeing all of your mods along the way. Interesting how the flat finish still catches the light and shows the body lines. -
Welcome to the club. You will at sometime soon forget what day of the week it is and realize it doesn't matter anyway.

In addition, use a #11 blade to outline the edge of the wiring and anything else you're painting. This way any extra paint from the brush will stop at that edge. I'll often use the edge as a guide and draw the paint brush toward the center of whatever I'm painting.

Another posable source for a '66 Chevelle front end would be the Revell El Camino kit. That kit has the base non-SS grill and flat hood.

Can't believe I missed this beautiful looking El Camino the first time around. Flawless black paint and the bright red interior work well together and all the chrome trim is nice and clean looking. Sits about as low as you can go, but you might think about some exhaust and mufflers. -
The paint gives an unusual effect and shows the body lines well. I like how you upgraded the engine but made it look like that is the way it was supposed to be. Nice use of colors and finishes in the engine compartment for a very realistic look like the core support and the hood latch areas. The interior color compliments the exterior.

Great clean looking little roadster.

On the brake shoes on drum brakes, we always had to cut the edges ourselves. Alloy wheels of some type are so common anymore I can't even remember the last car or truck I have owned with steel wheels. I still use an arm strong type torque wrench on all my wheels and work them down with at least three passes before the final click of the wrench and then one last go around after that. My labor is cheap and I'm a little AR about these things.

Halaya on the Charger kit. I'll be able to build a couple of versions of our '18 Charger. A redone Mustang will be nice as well.

Great looking engine. Your body color looks good. Will you need to clear it or leave as is?

Very creative looking fuzzy fur interior. Doing the running boards, inner fenders and fire wall is going way back in time. Should you want to do something different with the front end I think you could use the fender and grill parts from either of the old AMT '40 or '39/'40 Ford kits.
