  1. Beautiful looking finish. This is from when " Too much was just enough " new car style.
  2. So many great looking builds. I like the paint and trim treatments. Nice to see an early Charger getting so nicely done. The color on the Wildcat is one of my favorites as well as the GTO.
  3. Great looking builds. I like all the muscle cars.
  4. They all look great. I like the El Camino and the Ford pick ups. The '50 Ford coupe reminds me of a car from the distant past.
  5. They are all so cleanly painted and detailed trim.
  6. Great looking showroom stock build. The period paint colors look perfect on this body style.
  7. All great looking builds. I like the way you do '32's especially.
  8. Beautiful looking little street rod. I also enjoyed your WIP tread on this build. Looks great without the bumpers and I like how you did the turn downs on the exhaust. The few chrome details on the body and the window moldings are very clean looking.
  9. Great looking stock sedan. I like the police issue also. Very clean looking paint work and trim.
  10. The red paint looks great. A couple of ideas for your trim idea request. The side mount spare tire. This could be treated to something like a Continental Kit on a car. Early models like when this truck was new they would have a canvas type covering in a contrasting color. Later on a metal cover with a flat face toward the public and often with a design of some sort. How hard would it be to create a decal of your Christmas Cookie Tin lid and put that on the spare tire cover ? There was a time when owners would chrome the tail gate hinges, could easily be done with foil or a chrome pen. The wood treatment for the bed floor. Pen stripe decals are also a thought depending on the style you're after.
  11. Great looking interior. By they way I'm an Orange fan on automobiles also. The down side is the you become very visible in traffic and get tickets even when your not doing anything wrong. I had a '69 Camaro in Hugger Orange that I owned twice for a total of 18 years. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH thing almost cost me my license more than once.
  12. The roof design that Ford used on the Starliner models was one of the best looking designs of the time.
  13. I have enjoyed watching your progress on this. You "story" helps with the reason for the vinyl roof. While this was a style treatment that was popular at the time, most of the 1:1 were done on the cheep with spray paint only. They would use almost the exact method you did here on the 1:1 car and they used some kind of tape to represent the stitching running the length of the roof before the color coat was sprayed on.
  14. I had been enjoying watching your build so I'm glad you are getting back to work on it. I have one I started many years ago, with no chop and just the front end done so far. The small details to the body really do enhance the body lines and the rear wheel opening redo gives the appearance of the body having been channeled.
  15. Thanks, I'll have to check it out.
  16. I don't recall which year Corvette started using the rear mounted Transaxle but that would be a good place to start looking. I picked up an LS engine with the Trans Axle and the solid Drive Shaft that was from a Corvette kit at a swap meet.
  17. All good points about the history of color in pictures. Much of this information predates my personal experiences with a #110 film size Kodac Box camera.
  18. Great looking interior. What is your engine source, what looks like an 3 speed manual with and overdrive unit stands out to me. ?
  19. Good, Rub the guys nose in it.
  20. I remember following your Luftwagen build, very interesting to watch as it come together.
  21. Great looking builds. I remember following a few of them and like the effort you put into all the little details.
  22. Your style of weathering always looks so realistic. A real "sad sack" looking group and I mean that in the best way.
  23. Great looking group of builds and I like the different themes of each one. All cleanly detailed.
  24. Beautiful looking wagon. Great paint work especially the wood trim.
  25. Very good idea matching the two bodies in this way. I also thought the Olds body looked to long until you did that. Maybe do the same mockup but with the rear bumpers in place to give you a better comparison.
