I don't want to tell you how many, mostly very nice, homes I have had for less than that. Often called inflation. I also remember when a 36 month loan on a new car was considered a long term.

That is almost cooler than finding an old car or truck out there.

I have moved often in life and never really found it to be much fun. To me the biggest problem is the longer you live in one place the more stuff you seem to gather around you. Reminds me of an old George Carlin routine. We are going on 20 years here, the longest I've ever lived anywhere in my life. I think I would rather take a beating than move.

I like the clean look without the SS Stripes. I like SS Stripes just fine, but this shows the nice lines of the body and makes the wheel & tire combination more of the focus.

The Chicago PD car would be good except they would have been a pillared four door sedan and not a hardtop. While the roof shape is different you could create the upper door or pillar parts. Vinyl roof coverings were very popular here for these models. Not a fan, but it does offer you an opportunity to add an additional contrasting color to the exterior. You could always make it a poor neglected old car if you didn't want to go shinny.

I like seeing how you detailed the chassis and engine. The stance is perfect on this also. Good to see the old Clay Smith Cams Woodpecker.

Thank you for these videos . "The King" has always represented the sport well at all times. Listening to him talk about his accomplishments in such a casual manor gives you an idea of the type of person he is. What you see is what you get .

You have all the neat engine parts and wheels and tires. Can you color sand the body and then clear it ?

Should you build it as a family car the white walls would be the most common. style, they were very narrow almost a white stripe by '67. I'm going to use the rally wheels on mine and they would have been part of the disk brake option. A set of chrome wheels wouldn't be out of the question on a sedan. A set of chrome Cragers would look good if you want to give it a little more of a performance look. You could Google '67 Impala and see what sort of pictures are out there just to get some ideas.

Just so happens I'm in the middle of building this kit now. The first thing I noticed in the mockup was that the floor pan part # 61 has a groove toward the fire wall area that the Frame sets down into. This is near the front mounting holes in the floor pan. In my kit they were just ever so off and the frame wouldn't set in like it should. In my case I just cut away a little material from the outer edge of the groove and then the frame fit fine. Since the firewall area seems to be a problem for you maybe check this area first since the firewall area is all built up from this area. The kit use's more body parts than most kits, but I think this is to make it as correct as possible, and trial fittings are a must. I have mocked up the body several times and not had the problems you mentioned.

The reason I was thinking that they may of come from a different Camaro kit is that Revell has offered so many different versions of their '69 Camaro it can be hard to tell. The kit has been offered at different times as a Z-28 and many different versions of big block engines. The blue exhaust in your picture was an optional factory exhaust that Chevrolet offered, I think they called it a Chambered Exhaust System. For kit building these would be very desirable, in 1:1 applications they were just short of straight pipes and were pretty much illegal everywhere. Anyway that was just my thought on these parts.

Relooking at the chrome tree I see what you mentioned. My thought is that at some future date they may even reissue the basic kit but with the option of building it with or without the RS trim. I think that this would be a good marketing idea since they wouldn't have to worry about a shopper not buying one over the other and they would only have to stock one kit going further. My be wishful thinking on my part, but it makes since to me.

Thanks for the info. I was going to buy one anyway, but this removes all doubts about what the kit is. I did notice on the chrome trees a couple of iteams that were closed off so you have to wonder what else might be coming in the future.

Great looking Jeep truck. I like that you went with the original theme with your build.

Looks great and reminds me of one here in town. Rust would never sleep with these trucks and the lower corner of the cabs are bad also. You really captured the look of a used up old truck with this.

Great looking build. I like how you turned it into a roadster. The chopped top version that Revell came up with was just unrealistic looking and the reason I never bought one. I should have and did something like this.
