This came together quickly. Great looking build and I'm also sure your father will like it also.

Very clean looking detail painting.

Don't you just love summer heat. We're been having 90 degree days for sometime but at least it's humid. 7 am this morning condensation on the outside of all the windows in the house. I check the thermometer, 78 degrees and 85 % humidity just know its going to be another great day in the neighborhood. This afternoon its 98 and the humidity has dropped way down to 70 % and the wind is almost 25 mph. I'm spending the day in the basement thankyou.

Great looking Miata. I like how you detailed the engine area. This is something I enjoy and appreciate when I see it done to this level. Your friends 1:1 Miata looks like the factory had the body some how contaminated before they painted it.

Very clean looking Camaro. Nice to see your color choice.

Your attention to details that I have seen on this and your other builds is exceptional. Glad to see you have joined the forum.

Great looking weathering techniques . Very realistic looking.

Great idea, I also prefer the duel scoop hood look. Any body stripes or just the bright Orange ??

This is going to be another great build to watch. The 2 + 2 was based on the shorter wheel base Catalina body. Think of a GTO and a Catalina as kissing cousins. The 8 lug wheels in this kit represent a unique brake upgrade that Pontiac offered until they went to disk brakes. The center section is the brake drums that was an aluminum alloy that had an iron brake drum inside. Beyond looking very nice this also added in brake cooling. The raised fins were usually a machined surface and the area in between was a little rougher as cast finish. The outer wheel was painted a silver color and the trim rigs made it look like a chromed wheel. Converting to a convertible would be little more than chopping off the top and the boot, that's what we call the material that covers the folded top, can be found in the AMT '65 Impala convertible kit. Just have to find one. Knowing that you like to stay close to an OEM look the white interior would look good on a convertible. They would have had the dash board and carpet as well as the very low portion of the door carpet all the same color. The seats and most of the side panels would be white. These could be black or many other colors were offered.

When we got her new '14 Dodge Avenger RT I took the car to one of the best tint shops in the area and they have dine several of our cars over the years. Besides the usual window tint, 35% max. in Kansas, i have them do the heavy 3M film on the nose of the car. I'm still not sure if street sweepers are legal here. I should have had them cover the top of the rear bumper as that looks like it would be a great idea and the film they use is all but impassible to see the edge.

Very clean, this would be an ideal 1:1 Street Rod. Besides the great looking paint work I like how you did the interior colors just a shade or two off from each other. I'll have to remember your "Wood Dash" treatment. I agree, the license plate is a cool idea.

My wife is still unable to explain the scratches on the top of the rear bumper just below the trunk lid. I just know that she will drag items out of the trunk across that are and or just rest anything going in or out of the trunk there. No matter how many times I explain what she is doing to her car she just says "Whatever" Good thing I love her because I would "strangle" anyone else that treats a vehicle in that manor.

The side panels had had a fine line outlining the painted panel in the same color. The two fine lines along the top of the front fenders that end at the rear edge of the side window, they were an option. The Landau appearance package did include them but on the standard Monte Carlo they were an extra cost option. I'm glad to see the "Sport Mirrors" on this build as they seem to look the best. This was a time when cars were ordered more alacarte than the trim and interior packages of today. The Monte Carlo had 4 different styles of rear view mirrors at that time. The Sport Mirrors on your build would have been standard on the Landau only and extra cost on any other model. The long front end on these cars gave you the feeling like you were driving from the back seat. As big as they were they were a good handling car.

Sounds like this isn't the first time she has done something like this. Hope the Authorities are able to make the last.

Ordering Specific 3D Printed Parts?
espo replied to JollySipper's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
On the wheels, the original kit has a set of deep set dish-slotted wheels. The reissue may have these wheels so all you would need is some plan wheel centers. Just cutout the center section and add the wheel lug pattern centers in their place. -
Beautiful looking build. Since I worked for a Chevrolet dealer at that time this is like a flash back, this is just what it would have looked like.
