  1. Glad you're back and doing well. Look forward to seeing some of your builds again soon.
  2. I like very thing about this build, and the original color also. This will lot great no matter what color you use.
  3. This is really looking nice so far. Something to remember on the bed width. The width of the bed and the fenders is about as close as can be to the Cab. The step-side bed it's self has always been narrower than the Cab.
  4. Great looking threesome. These represent that many different style of '57 builds.
  5. Great looking Drag Car.

    57 Nomad

Looks great, especially the paint work. This is about the best one of these Nomad kits I've seen. As you pointed out they have issues, mostly with body proportions.
  7. Great looking paint work, very smooth and glossy. Nicely detailed trim. Did this kit have the optional Continental Kit that would have been glued to the trunk lid ? I notice something about the rear bumper, and I don't think it is anything you've done wrong. I wonder if Lindberg shaped the bow in the rear bumper to clear the Continental Kit. .
  8. I'll bet he was pleased, this looks great. From the looks of the picture you captured it well.

    30 Ford woody

Very nice rebuild. The Hub Caps actually gave it a different look, more of an every day driver. Neatly trimmed details and the wood looks good also.
  10. Nice looking engine and chassis. A thought on your decals, if applying to a flat painted surface. Decals applied on anything but a gloss finish seem to standout like a sore thumb. You can always seal a gloss finish and decals with a flat or semi gloss clear to get a flatter finish and still minimize the appearance of any decals.
  11. All this talk about Spam has me thinking the next trip to the market will include some. I'm a big breakfast eater so I'll try the eggs and Spam.
  12. I remember a few years ago the Porsche once owned by Janice Joplin sold for some astronomical amount complete with the paint job she had done back when.
  13. Please keep us posted on how you fix it. Saves me some R&D time. I also have an idea but not sure if I can pull it off.

    Kodi

My condolences for your lose. This is like loosing some member of the family, since they are a member. Always think of him and the good times together and all the silly things he would do that made you laugh.
  15. This had to be one of the hardest days of your life. The lose of any pet but especially one that is such a major member of your family is hard to describe. You loved this Dog and to do what is best so that they will no longer suffer is heart wrenching for sure. She will always be in your thoughts, there will be many "remember when moments" and tears shed and laughs shared. We had a beloved Lab that we had to put down over twenty years ago and we still have those moments. Even his Vet. said he had more personality than most people. They are furry little people who love you unconditionally and ask so little in return as you mentioned. Please accept my condolences for your lose.
  16. That is an interesting looking Trailer. Is this going to be a 5th wheel set up ? Is the rear portion of the roof going to be removable or a bulk head behind the back seat ?
  17. This all lines up nicely now. The net idea would work well here. That would catch a lot less air at high speeds than a tail gate.
  18. Outstanding interior here. I'll have to get some of those gauge decals, they look great.
  19. This looks like a car that was in Hot Rod or Rod & Custom around '57 or '58. This was just a one or two year old car at the time and it wasn't worth near what it is today. This is an acquired taste paint work, but he looks proud of it. I want to say the paint work was credited to Von Dutch but I'm not 100 % on that. Isn't that cute his shirt even matches the paint work.
  20. What sort of base coat are you using under the Yellow ? I remember another builder mention that he was disappointed with the moldings on the Hood. I'm sure it has to do with the age of the tool since the ones I built years ago had very sharp trim moldings. This and the '40 Coupe have always been a favorite of mine as they sort of fall together and a body style that has always been good looking.

    1969 COPO

This looks great. I like the Intimidator look. I remember several Nova SS's running around with the 396 engine in different horsepower ratings and they were nothing to mess with.

    66 Impala

Beautiful looking Impala SS. All of the body trim is neat and cleanly done. The paint job is really special looking also.
  23. The interior wood graining looks great.
  24. That's a great kit, sort of an old standard.
  25. That Yugo may be either a Repo or a Lease return.
