Great looking Trailer kit. I remember building a few of these years ago and they were often offered as an option in many of the old AMT pick up kits. AMT or Round 2 reissued the '76 Chevrolet Caprice kit and included this trailer in the kit. I have two, the "AMT Classic" series and "Pro Shop" series.

I agree with Steamboat on the LS engine swap. I like the color and great paint finish. The seats look like they belong there. Impressive chassis detailing especially the exhaust system.

This really turned out great. Nice paint of course, but all of the scratch built everything is what I most enjoy looking at.

Big Boss 429 Muscle Car Concept '71 Ford Thunderbird AMT *PICS*

I really like the theme of this build. Of course it is great looking and cleanly finished. Thinking back to the "Total Performance" era of Ford makes you almost wonder why they didn't offer such a model. -
The Ads Are Now Out of Control!

I hope I don't jinx this, but they don't seem so bad today. Yesterday I had to get off early since I could hardly find what I was trying to click on. Very thankful today. -
This is looking showroom fresh. Great color and paint finish. .

Is that Dick Van Dyke falling off the end of the couch ?? Thanks, I had ever seen this one. Besides the use of the words this were true comedians that knew how to use what used to be called the "Sight Gag". Carol always seemed to have the top Hollywood talent of the day. They would have a loose script and were encouraged to improvise if they wanted. She would have actors on the show and you would think of them based on parts they had played or what ever their persona was in your mind. Then in the middle of a skit they would say something so out of caricature everyone would lose it.

I just noticed your mention of putting a Ford Y engine from the Merc. Wagon kit. I'm thinking that engine is a Cadillac engine. This may explain way you have to do so much chassis surgery. You have already all but got this mounted so I wouldn't change now, but the best Y block right now can be found in the new Revell '57 Ford kits.

I have a work on hold using a stock Corvair with an LS in the back seat. This would make a much better starting point. I look forward to seeing how this one progresses.

Great color and the flares look good. You can't look at a Mini and not smile anyway, and one like you're doing, is well like the perfect excuse to make your self really laugh in a demented fashion.

postage from the US to the UK
espo replied to 72 Charger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't recall the specific's now, but last year I was trying to send some parts to someone in the UK . I couldn't believe what the USPO wanted for postage. I think if a half dozen of us were to send a small package overseas they could pay off their debt and retirement fund needs with the charges. -
A word of caution on the moustache wax. While it will hold the hairs together and can be enhanced by wetting your fingers while shaping the moustache but as a stickum you will be disappointed. Use the odorless type and ventilation shouldn't be a problem.

I don't recall the Elephants out take but I'm sure it's funny as anything that Tim Conway was in always was. If he was playing of Corman all the better. Have you ever seen the two of them on the commercial air liner together ? Done as only those two could. This particular Hospital Bed seen just reminds me of mostly my wife's mother and one of her sisters. The best was when Smothers gives the "mother" a big lippy and she never breaks character, and later she's pushing his hair peace back on the top of his head.

Great looking build and the interior especially. I like your story. The '49 Ford was a big step forward for FMCO and I remember as a very young child going with my father to pick up our black Custom 4 door. I have owned a few '49 - '51's and this kit has always been one of my favorites, I wonder why. This looks far better than anything I ever had.

I see the ads are back even more today. Some of the ads on TV are a little entertaining. I like the ones with the Racons especially where they steal the Garbage Truck and then go to the Food Truck gathering. -
I enjoy a little funny now and again. The Carol Burnette skit still ahs me laughing. To many relatable people in the family I guess. I think the real reason is we are all getting a case of Cabin Fever. I just went to the market today just to get out of the house.

Glad you're back and doing well. Look forward to seeing some of your builds again soon.

I like very thing about this build, and the original color also. This will lot great no matter what color you use. -
'72 Chevy Stepside
espo replied to Plowboy's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
This is really looking nice so far. Something to remember on the bed width. The width of the bed and the fenders is about as close as can be to the Cab. The step-side bed it's self has always been narrower than the Cab. -
Great looking threesome. These represent that many different style of '57 builds.

Great looking Drag Car.

Looks great, especially the paint work. This is about the best one of these Nomad kits I've seen. As you pointed out they have issues, mostly with body proportions.

1953 Ford Crestline Victoria (Lindberg) - NEW PHOTOS ADDED
espo replied to YBlock292's topic in Model Cars
Great looking paint work, very smooth and glossy. Nicely detailed trim. Did this kit have the optional Continental Kit that would have been glued to the trunk lid ? I notice something about the rear bumper, and I don't think it is anything you've done wrong. I wonder if Lindberg shaped the bow in the rear bumper to clear the Continental Kit. . -
I'll bet he was pleased, this looks great. From the looks of the picture you captured it well.
