  1. The REvell '40 Ford pick up kit has some finned aluminum heads and multy carb. set up. Not sure how it would work since the old AMT '49 Mercury kit has the newer flat head engine but the kit has a great little aluminum head with three two's also.

    67' CORONET

I like all the modifications you did and the chassis and interior are nicely detailed. I like the WIDE rear tires but they don't look to be as tall as the fronts.
  3. Very nice looking 300. Would seem you have a garage full of them.
  4. Both builds look great. These are both good kits and very easy to move parts back in forth between them just like the 1:1 cars. I never understood why Revell put the SS style hood in the wagon kit.
  5. Great back ground story on this little hauler. I like the paint and the stance looks perfect. I'd love to hear that little 4 banger run thru the gears with those glass packs.
  6. That's a shame since the original paint job looked great. You might want to try some other clear just to see if it's the Krylon clear that 's the problem.
  7. Looks like a great kit, a little beyond my pay grade, but if you're really into the subject go for it.
  8. The first thing I thought of when I saw this was the car in the NCIS program my wife likes so much. Then I saw your license plate, looks just like the TV car.
  9. Great looking build. I like how you detailed the chassis and engine. Perfect color for a Road Runner.
  10. Beautiful looking GTX. I enjoyed watching your build on this.
  11. Great looking paint work. The interior is very realistic looking, and the carbs. look real. Look forward to seeing it Under Glass.
  12. Beautiful looking shadow box. This person is a great artist. The background looks somewhat like a painting and the animals and plants in the foreground look like a diorama.
  13. The grill area looks a lot like a Cunningham, the front bumpers and rear quarters look like a British AC come Cobra. What ever it is he must be waiting for the Triple A Road Service for the flat left front tire.
  14. Great looking build. Very clean detailing thru out. Makes you wonder why Hudson didn't do that years ago.

    Monogram GTO

That looks great. I like the colors for the interior and the exterior. With little more than some paint detailing the engine and the chassis really look good.
  16. That looks like the original owner on the phone. I like the cop wheels, that's not OEM.
  17. You might also check to see if you have any other kits with the nail head Buick engine in them. Often these were offered with dress up items like a finned aluminum or chrome valley cover. Even if you had just a standard stock one you could foil it to look like chrome.
  18. I'm not an expert in this area, but. I have seen very small lights on what looks like nothing thicker than a strip of masking tape. I would mount this inside the top or cover near the front edge and hide this from view with some sort of black out treatment also on the inside of the cover to hide it from view. This way the light would shine toward the viewers side of the display model. The batteries could be hidden under the display floor.
  19. Another idea for your exhaust tip. Most OEM and almost all after market exhaust system will have a chrome tip if some sort. I use some aluminum tubing that just fits over the end of the exhaust. I use a miniature pipe cutter to cut the tip to length. You can easily add a flair to the end using a nail to shape the aluminum tip. A little polishing compound and it will look like a chrome tip and the thickness looks in scale.
  20. I guess this is what happens when someone with a vivid imagination gets a welder for their birthday.
  21. Beautiful looking build. excellent detailing thru out. Best to do quality builds like this than quantity. I had the same problem with the front wheels you position that you mentioned when I built one some time ago. I found that reworking the inner half of the wheel where it mounts to the spindle solved the problem.
  22. And you sit where ?
  23. It looks to neat and well organized, don't know how I would ever be able to find anything. Great job.
  24. That seat is perfect.
  25. Looking at the ride height I agree it looks a little high in front. Not that much from stock. The rear looks a little low from stock height. If you're going for the OEM stock ride height you might consider raising the rear just a little and the front might not look that high then. Just depends on the look you're going for. The engine detailing is outstanding and the paint looks great also.
