  1. Maybe, just maybe this guy has a reason for being so paranoid. Sounds as if you did everything correctly. This guy sounds like he could become a little scary. If you haven't already I would git a nice big folder and save all of his rants and threats, dates and times. Even E Bay's letter. If this guy is still carrying on I would consider contacting one of if not all of the alphabet agencies, he has threatened you and one can assume he is armed.
  2. Beautiful looking build. The interior really stands out and I like the way you posed the doors open.
  3. This looks fantastic, I like that color from that era but it's not often seen. The Custom Interior option looks perfect. Is the 3x2 set up off of one of the Corvette kits ??
  4. Great looking BMW, the paint is super smooth looking. Got a little camber in the front end which I'm sure was by design.

    1966 GTO

Nice clean looking GTO. I like the chrome trim and the interior looks great also.

    2005 Corvette

Very clean looking build. I like the extra wheel and tire details. Perfect for your Corvette collection.
  7. Very nice paint and cleanly done trim. The additional wheels and tires along with the slightly lowered stance really makes it far better than stock.
  8. I wonder if such vehicle desecrations have to be reported to Car Fax much like a major accident or something.
  9. If won that kind of money I have a couple of shelves worth of models to build in 1:1 scale.
  10. I think that one of the reasons the roof appears different between the Olds and the Chevy has more to do with the shape of the Quarter Panels. The Chevy has very pronounced flair/arch over the rear wheel opening and the Olds it is much smoother. Outside of measuring actual cars, I think if you just hold a finger or two over the body portion in the above pictures you will get the idea. My own thought is that it would cost GM far to much to have this much difference in roof panels between two models based on the same basic body.
  11. Great looking Type 1. I like the style of your build. Having the running boards at the folding top colors match really catches your eye.
  12. I respect your reluctance to cut up a vintage kit that may be unreplaceable. The White Letter tires are sort of like Fender Skirts, it may just be me but the two just don't go together. You could always try it both ways and see what you like and then do that. Should you want to remove the skirts just take your time doing it. Many slow cuts are less likely to damage the body by pressing to hard or having the blade go out of the grove when cutting.
  13. Great looking kustom. I are correct about the little shoe box Fords getting customized. They were inexpensive and plentiful. Many of your modifications are long the lines of the old traditional style. The things I see that really bring it to a more present day are the Chrysler grill and the sun roof. The paint is really outstanding also.
  14. Skirts are for ladies. The fender skirts look fine with the stock hub caps and white walls or maybe chrome wheels. Any type of mag wheels just don't look right with fender skirts. They are too different styles and they conflict with each other on the same car.
  15. I followed your build, and a few repaints along the way. Amazing engineering and design work on this build. The finish looks perfect.
  16. The entire engine compartment is very realistic looking.
  17. With a little finish work I think this would look fine as is. On the Vinyl Roof question, it all depends on what you want it to look like. A full Vinyl Roof was the most common style at the time these were new. The Quarter Roof was part of the Landau trim option, and also many dealers added this style roof for added profit and if that was in style in their area. Just build it the way you want it.
  18. Please post pictures of your event for those of use who are unable to attend.
  19. Beautiful looking truck. I followed your build on this and it turned out looking very accurate and clean. I like the little touches you added to the interior, it really adds to the appearance.
  20. Just a thought on goodies for the grocery bags. I'm not sure that they would be in scale, but I have seen some fruit and such in the toy section at Michael's and the same at Hobby Lobby. But then seeing what all you have done you'll probably just make your own.
  21. I guess that's a good way to get ride of all your old spruce, sell it on E Bay. I would be having "speaks" with this guy and also notify E Bay about what happened.
  22. I like the interior, it looks good with the dark green body.
  23. You have done wonders restoring this. The front ride height seems a little high, but that all depends on what you're looking for there. The paint shouldn't be hard to replicate with only the decals being an issue. There are plenty of generic decal options out there if it doesn't have to be 100% like the box image.
  24. I have seen other builders create an engine plate in some of their builds. What they had was a thin plate that would attach to the front of the engine as if bolted to the water pump area and slimed down on each end to a new mount on the frame or some other support structure on either side of the engine compartment. This way it would have no connection to the stock front cross member or any other front suspension you are using.
  25. And in this case it would resemble a '48 or earlier engine in a '50's pickup. This could work, but I was under the impression that jolly Sipper was wanting a '50's Flat Head for this build.
