  1. I think Revell offered a Ram 1500 2wd with the Hemi. The only thing I remember is that the picture on the box was of a blue truck. I'm sure I had one but it can't be found now. I have sold of many kits in the last few years and I'm afraid this could have been one of them.
  2. Now if you have your foot to the floor just to keep up with traffic that might hurt your gas mileage. Small engines can reach a point that they have to work so hard to power whatever their in that they lose to a slightly more powerful engine.
  3. Great idea. I like so many others here like to see what others are doing.
  4. That is probably this easiest way to do want you're wanting in this case. I agree the hole through the engine really is a bad deal, but it is an easy fix. What I have done in the past was to cut pieces of Plastruct to the shape of the opening and glue in place. A small amount of body filler closes any remaining gaps and a little sanding and you never know it was there. I have used this on several vintage AMT kits also.
  5. Is there going to be a designated photographer ??
  6. Great looking 510. I built one of the original BRE livery kits a couple of years ago and like you the decals were in bad shape. I was able to clean them up in the water dish and position them and they held their place long enough to dry and then spray them with clear. This is a great kit and I like that you stayed with the SCCA theme.
  7. Very nice, clean looking trim.
  8. Beautiful looking build. I like how you did the interior. These were very colorful cars when new and you captured that look.

Beautiful looking build. Great detail through out. I like the look of the wheels with no center caps.
  10. I like the showroom stock look. Great paint finish and all the trim is very clean looking. This is a good color combination .
  11. I stopped trying to build multi kits at the same time years ago. Seemed like nothing ever got finished and I would change my mind on the direction of the builds half way through. I'm still not a speedy builder but I do finish one before I start another.
  12. Model Master also offers a spray called Fabric Tan #28136. This will give you a medium brown color with a fabric like finish. What ever color you settle on you might want to spray a flat clear on any surface that is supposed to be fabric and nothing shinier than a semi gloss on any surface that you want to be vinyl or leather. This will give you the same effect.
  13. I followed your build on this and really like the way it turned out. The Go Cart is really special also.
  14. Great pictures. I noticed some significate Alfa's also.
  15. I like the way you shadowed the two colors.
  16. Something my wife and I have been involved in for several years is Wheel'n or Off Roading and specifically Jeep Jamborees. The reason I mention this is the road surfaces and driving through water is something we do often. YTube to the rescue again. They have videos posted by many who are attending these Jamborees and some of the pictures may show what you're looking for. There are many more of what I call "hold my beer and watch this" moments also.
  17. Traction may be a limiting factor.
  18. Excellent detail and very clean looking. I like that you have both cockpit covers.
  19. Great looking build.
  20. Another possible source could be the Revell '50 Oldsmobile. The base 88 and the Chevrolet are the same vehicle with the Olds. getting heavier reinforced body panels. Some of the early Olds Drag Racers used to use Chevrolet Doors and Trunk lids to cut down on weight. Foe this built that kit might offer some shapes you could use.
  21. Not that it looks like you need any inspiration. Lately I have been getting watching Rally racing on YTube and they have pictures of some pretty bad offs. I think you are doing a great job beating up this poor Porsche, just thought you might get some ideas there is all.
  22. I guess you're just like some of the people here that refuse to own a domestic car. LOL
  23. I'll be watching. I like woodies.
  24. I don't know what your experience with travel have been like, but if you can't get in carry on I would ship them some other way. I have seen aluminum hard side suite cases ripped open by the time they get to the luggage area. I think the air lines use wood chipper machines to load the language in an air plane.
  25. The above mentioned '50 Ford pickup that AFX mentioned is the one you want, the one with the blue truck on the box and it's molded in blue. I just pulled the one I had in my stash and the only engine is a stock Flat Head. While this is a great kit I think that the reason so many walked past it in the past was that it was a stock only kit. The kit has some nice White Wall tires and the White Walls are separate. This may or may not be a plus for you but I'm sure you have others Black Wall tires depending on what you're building. There is a nicely detailed single Exhaust system and. The engine has a separate Intake plus single Carb. and stock Oil Bath type Air Filter. At the rear of the engine it has a well done Oil Filter and Fuel Pump. It would be easy to run lines to these if you want to go to that extent. The Distributer Head and Oil Filler are separate also along with the Generator and Fan. The Exhaust Manifolds and Starter motor are also separate. Looking at this engine now I'm thinking that if someone was wanting a stock Flat Head this is the way top go.
