AS everyone else has pointed out, the paint work is outstanding and you even did the undercarriage to match. The colors all work perfectly together. I enjoy looking at the detailing of the suspension and drive shaft even.

O ya this should be fun to watch.

I'm glad to see you're back on this Corvette, it really looks great. I built one a couple of years ago, Box Stock, and enjoyed the kit. The only problem I encountered was the trunk hinge setup. On the engine. If you go with the LS setup and can't find the block maybe you could use the 283 block and the LS heads and intake. The bottom side of the engine is pretty well hidden from view. Either way the paint color combination looks great and I like how you did the interior.

Are you staying with the big block ?

Now you're just showing off with this tape work. Very intricate design. So you are applying each strip of tape and keeping them parallel and perfectly spaced apart ?

What did you see on the road today?

I have to agree with DumpyDan, this sounds like an interesting way to spend a day. I did a little stamp collecting when I was 6 to about 10 years old. Where stamps were coming from I.E. their post mark was always part of the deal. Wondering what that place must be like. I also would enjoy reading of your adventures and travels. The Ford Ranchero opens a question as to the exact year model. Looking at the picture I see '58 side trim and a '58 hood. The front fenders and grill are '57. Ford used the same tail lights on both year models. This type of sheet metal interchange was somewhat common years ago. All of the parts pretty much interchange. Sometimes an owner would go to a wrecking yard and use a '58 front end front end to update their '57 and sometimes owners would go the other way because they didn't like the 4 headlamp look. There were several that even went so far as adding an Edsel front end. You may laugh now, but at the time this got a lot of attention and in a good way. Often this was done to fix body damage from an accident or the effects of road salt. -

Great looking weathering and I like the way you aged the signage on the truck. -

Beautiful paint work. I liked the contrasting Gold, and now with the Cobra in tow it really fits. -
Great looking build. I like the way you did your detailing under the hood and the different colors you used on the chassis gives it a very realistic look. I have often used the same magazine for referencing a subject and found it to be about the best. The TS92 paint is one of my favorites. Another one to consider next time would be Testors 1840M Flaming Orange as it is just a shade darker.

The Goldberg reference was one I grew up with. My father served in WW II and it was a common reference about creating what you needed with what every you had to work with. Some of the stories he would refer to, and I wouldn't think my father was involved except my mother verified, did not seem like the father that I knew. As they say that's war. -

Good because it was meant to be. I'm often hesitant to use expressions that my be from another time as it may now have a different meaning. -
Looks great. I like Rally cars and watching the little bits we get to see here.

Great looking build. Your diorama really adds to the look.

Very nice. I like the COPO look. What was the source for the wheels ? The rears look as if you may have combined two wheels to make one.
-
Beautiful looking build. Nice color and smooth paint finish. Great looking interior and a speaker cabinet under the dash.

My compliments on your "Rube Goldberg Engineering". That is a very old term a more modern one might be a reference to Mc Giver. Glad to see you used a vent to the outside. The actual spray booth part is larger than most commercial spry booths sold. -
If GM and the Pontiac Division could have just hung on another year we would have gotten the Ute. I was already to trade in my '05 GTO that was the2 door version. The local dealer had already told me that as soon as he got the order info he would call me so we could order what I wanted. Sadly it was not to be. Should Revell or another company offer a really good kit of the UTE I would buy more than a few kits.

If you have a COSTCO near bye, you should check there. I went thru much the same thing both with Walgreens and a couple of different small local pharmacy's. I found my deductible was even much lower at COSTCO, I think it had to do with their volume purchases. My neighbor across the street has had to install T shaped metal stakes with reflectors on them in his yard. We have fairly flat yards and the street makes a gentle bend in that area. Under a couple of inches of snow it is hard to tell just where the street is. The stakes are from Home Depot and they are a few bucks each.

You might look on line for pictures of a '67 Impala. I think the kit hood could be changed by sanding down the center a little bit and filling the area for the fake vents.

Beautiful looking build. Excellent paint and interior finish. I have always liked those wheels on "sports cars" they just seem right. This should bring back some fond memories.

Looks great. I like the sparkle in the paint. Is that an OEM color ??

Great looking paint and paint finish. I like the stance. The Schwinn Sting Ray bike is neat. I remember the Goose Neck handle bars and the Banana seat.

First off this is very well done indeed. This is such an iconic car for it's place with Ford and it's designer Mr. Shinnoda it at first seems a shame to not have it pristine looking. But to display it in it's present condition also required far more building skills and its appearance is very realistic looking.
