  1. I'm old enough to remember these when they first were released. They were cutting edge at the time when we didn't really know what that ment. The body shape and trim were very accurate and built up into some great looking models.
  2. With wind chills in the single digits it's colder than sour owl droppings.
  3. Cold enough for the lake to freeze over again and the blankety blank Geese are not all over the back yard.
  4. We had al most the same thing happen when our favorite Mexican Restaurant closed after the owner retired. We had been going there for over 20 years and the place was always jam packed. The new owners went in and did the usual clean up and paint. We went in just after the grand opening and got the same treatment as you did. We didn't realize the dinning area was so empty until we had waited for over an hour because we were told that they were busy. The dinning room portion was down a half flight of stairs and out of sight. You could hear an echo when you talked back there. The food still had water running out of it from being heated in the Microwave and the Beer was flat. We also will not be back.
  5. Great find. I would get them powder coated soon before they start to rust.
  6. To far from home for me, but I hope someone takes some pictures.
  7. Another one of your great looking realistic looking builds. The Tin Worm has had it's way with this one alright.
  8. Great clean looking truck. I like the basic nature of the 1:1.
  9. I have had one on order at my local hobby shop and their supplier has been unable to get them. I bought mine a few weeks ago at Hobby Lobby with the coupon. I'll still take the kit from the hobby shop when they do start getting them. I think it all has to do with the big guys getting first dibs.
  10. I followed your build on this beautiful Chevelle and it turned out they way I would have wanted a 1:1. As for the afore mentioned Battery Terminals, you may want to do a little research. The Chevrolets that I owned back then all had the positive terminal close to the fender and the cable ran through a flat plastic loop on the inner fender and then to the starter. The negative or ground cable went from the battery to a bolt on the front off the head on the engine on the passenger side. I always was afraid of touching the positive cable to the fender and blowing up the battery but it never happened. If you have ever had a battery blow up in your face it is an experience you will not soon forget. Anyone checking the oil on a Ford product with their big block engines of that era, especially if someone has left off the plastic cover on the positive post, could be in for a really big surprise.
  11. Very clean looking build and matches the 1:1 perfectly. I owned a '72 Nova SS new and always have missed that car.
  12. Looks better than the cars they used on the TV series. Great looking paint work.
  13. Beautiful clean looking build. great color combination.
  14. Coming together nicely.
  15. I like the fine detailing on the engine. The Carbs. are just the right color and showing a little dust and dirt collection as well as the oil seepage around the valve covers and filler. The tail lights and the grill look perfect.
  16. Looks good so far. You might consider removing the verbiage on the floor pan above where the differential goes. The rear end my hide most of it.
  17. Great looking old Chevy. I also like the wheel and tire treatment. Sometimes a good clean painted wheel goes a long way.
  18. While the Blower setup mentioned from the Monogram Corvette, most street setups had the Alternator and any others driven off of an additional belt. So it may just depend on what you want the engine to look like.
  19. Is the license plate just the luck of the draw or did you request it. The guys at LMC would enjoy that. I love your cooler and all the other goodies you've created.
  20. Interesting treatment on the convertible top, I don't recall ever seeing anything like that.
  21. Excellent combination of bits and parts. I like the way you painted the pattern on the roof. Nicely detailed engine and interior.
  22. I look forward to seeing your photos.
  23. Thankyou for sharing your pictures. Some really great looking builds.
  24. I'm glad you included pictures of the construction prosses to help understand just how much you put into this build. The finish build looks so realistic it is hard to fully appreciate what all you have done. Great subject .
  25. I like everything about this build. The paint treatment and flames look great. I like how you "laid frame" on the stance and the engine and drive train. The interior updates are perfect.
