Splicing the bumper would be the best way to do the Bumper. Most of what you'll run into is solved using a little Eye Ball Engineering to make everything look right. -

The year model Pontiac you're trying to replicate and if you want a 4 door or a phantom 2 door may depend on how and where you cut the bodies. One thing to remember if you're going the 4 door body style. The doors on a 4 door are not as wide as a 2 door body style. Because of some of the unique side body shapes I would suggest the Pontiac body and re scribe the door openings. The biggest problem that I think you may have has to do with the tail gate. The Tempest/GTO tail panels are different on the coupe body than the wagon. Use the Chevelle Wagon tail gate and then fabricate the tail light area on the body. I think you could use the GTO rear bumper with little or no changes. If you're wanting to build a 2 door version you wouldn't have to re scribe the doors but you would have to change the side windows. This takes a little planning but I was able to build a very convincing looking 2 door '66 Chevelle Wagon just like the factory '64 & '65 Wagons. I used the '66 El Camino kit for measurements for the door and in this case you would just use the GTO's door lines for a guide. The pillar that is at the back side of the second door on the 4 door is brought forward and the door lines are lined up with the lower body. Look closely at how the side windows and the body meet and you'll see that the area under the back side window is a little higher than in the door area. I extended that line forward and filled the gap with a strip of plastic under the door post so that it ended at the body at the same level as the rear side windows just like the earlier Chevelle Wagons did. I had to shape a few moldings but nothing extensive. -
My preference is a good old folding paper map and the trails we use are not on any GPS. Another thing is the time line of getting the text months later ? I think based on the information shared here by so many, we are under far more surveillance than we can ever imagen.

Racoons can be very destructive besides being ill tempered. Several years ago we moved into a new home in a newly developed area. The area was going from a cattle raising area to new homes and a lot of natural habitat was going away. We had a neighbor across the street that went away for a week and boarded their small dog with the vet. They failed to latch shut the doggie door and you'll never guess who moved in. After destroying the contains of the garage they ate their way thru the sheet rock into the house its self. As I remember it took the insurance company and the workmen several weeks to make the place habitable again. More recently my neighbor had sighted a Racoon one evening in his back yard. Armed with a borrowed trap he captured "Rocky Racoon" as he became known. If you were to stand even within a couple of feet of the trap this thing turned into a snarling hissing, just thankful it was in the cage. The neighbor took him a few miles up the road where a corn field and a stream intersected. He set the cage on the ground and with the tailgate down on his pickup. He leaned over and opened the door and jumped back into the bed of the truck. He said for a moment the Racoon looked like he was going after him and then turned and went down the stream bank. Moral of the story is give the little critters plenty of room and what ever you do don't try and grab on, you may begin to wonder who caught who if you do.

Thank you all for some very interesting, and dare I say scary information. Mine is an old device and I try to keep everything I can turned off. I have not used any type of mapping app for years. I even have blocked many of the updates that the phone says it wants and I can't live without. One thing I have a hard time understanding with the photos, we were in an area with no cell phone service. I didn't try mine as all I was doing was taking pictures. Several people in our group were always messing with their phones the way those who are addicted to these device's tend to do. Now if I can't get a cell phone signal I wonder how they know where I was taking these pictures? This trip was in September and almost 4 months later I'm being sent a text to me showing where I was in a remote off road area with a trail map in the back ground and showing the different places I stopped to take pictures in addition to another set of the pictures I had taken. This is to much like an invasion of my privacy.

This looks like an interesting build. While not a subject I myself would build I still like the engineering that other modelers put into these types of builds. By the length of the barrel this Gun should have a good range.

I sure miss the big yellow Lab that used to like to make his presents known. He's been gone now much longer than he was here, but he's still missed.

Great information you're providing here. A couple of observations from your excellent photos: The Intake Manifold on the AMT engine seems a little flat and inaccurate the area of the Thermostat housing. The Revell intake shows the correct cooling crossover and mounting point for the thermostat and upper Hose mounting point. The Revell rear suspension shows a detailed view of the rear Sway Bar that is part of the F-41 Suspension option. The side by side wheel and tire comparison shows a marked difference as the Revell combination looks like a 14" and the AMT looks like a 15", and with the stated size on the tire there is no doubt. The unnamed clear lenses and the Transmission Cross Member leave some interesting possibilities.

I'm charging my phone today and I hear the pinging sound like when you receive a text message. When my wife and I are together like this weekend I hardly ever get a text so of course I thought it may be something important. The text is telling me that I have additional photos from a Jeep Jamboree we attended this summer. My thought was that someone in the group we were with on the trail may be sharing their pictures. The message contained a map of the trails we had been on and it had a little picture on the map in the locations where I had taken pictures. I open the map and it was pointing out exactly where we were when the pictures were taken, and we were off in a fairly remote area several miles from any paved road. In the message they had grouped the pictures , I guess using GPS or something to show where I was and what pictures were taken at that location. My wife gets messages when she leaves for work sometimes saying how long it will take her to get to work. She also gets the same information when she is shopping and gets in the car to head home the same thing, time and miles. So I ask all of you here, do you think your phone is looking over your shoulder ?? We never asked for any type of service from our phone carrier, they just start following us and telling us how long it will take to get somewhere and even sending me copies of pictures that are only on my phone that I haven't shared with anyone else. This is starting to get very creepy.

Most people prefer the hardtops on most cars, but like you I like the post cars from this era the best.

The '56 Ford Crew Cab had to be an adventure to build. I like the Street Rod vibe of all your builds. The '37 Flat Back looks like a 1:1 parked by the side of the road. I'm very partial to your red '49 Ford.
