  1. Thanks for the scans, especially the interiors.
  2. Good luck. The OLD Revell VW kits are pretty rough. I remember seeing pics of that car before, including the build, I think he used the back of a Ford truck cab, but its been a few years...
  3. That came out great. I like how good your metallic paint and lights look.
  4. The Misfits - Astro Zombies Oops, wrong Misfits...
  5. Nice work on this. I've been eyeing this kit for awhile.
  6. I forgot to post where I am on the Datsun 720 pickup. It's got some details that need added. Mostly wiring, which I've never bothered with before, but there's too much exposed not to on this. I got this as a junk body, but the window part of the cab is missing. Thinking of adding some sort of fabric cover...
  7. Obstetrician/Gynecologist. If any of those gun kits were to be reissued, the box would say, "Molded in Color!", but those colors would be blaze orange, neon pink, and florescent green. I have a (Pirates of the Caribbean) blunderbuss cap gun I got from Disneyland back in 1990. The last time I was there, they still sold them. I'n blaze orange . Arr!
  8. Thanks! I wanted to cover everything, cause don't plan on transforming it... As much as a pain this was, one of the pictures I found for reference, someone had added a ball joint to the neck and replaced the hands with articulated Gundam style hands. (The kit comes with closed fists, also. but those don't seem much use.) I guess this picture is good, you can see everything, and it a good overall representation:
  9. usually two or three builds, with a few repairs & touch ups added in. For some reason I thought it would be a good Idea to prep a bunch of bodies for paint...so right now, 6?
  10. Winter came back, but it cleared up in the afternoon. Just transforming it once chipped a bit of paint and damaged at least one decal... . That's why I'm only doing it once. Again, this is 1/48 scale. Plane/space fighter mode:
  11. The Dickies used to be known as "The World's Highest Paid Cover Band", but that was before Metallica really took off...
  12. Been making some mods to correct some shortcuts for an old Snap-tite kit. Cut off the spare tire. I forgot to take a before pic, but it was literally just a round gob. As a kid, I thought it was the gas tank... . Gonna mount an actual tire there for the spare. Fixed the gaping hole in the firewall. Before: After: Cut off the thick license plate bracket, and will recess the actual plate by mounting it on the frame:
  13. That's certainly one stop shopping, considering the fate of many models built by children.
  14. Came out great! I like the effect on the washer bottle & brake fluid reservoir. I haven't seen that done before.
  15. KISS - I Was Made For Loving You
  16. Great work so far. Those brake drums look cool, however, that's not something you would ever use on an off-road vehicle.
  17. Beautiful work, beautiful car.
  18. That came out great, and the interior looks fantastic. I can testify as to how unforgiving yellow paint is, if there's anything going on underneath, yellow won't hide it.
  19. Looks great! I don't care for the wood paneling, but it is an accurate representation of what people were doing back then. The only thing it needs, I think, is the ragtop should be the same color as the tan interior, it kinda blends in with the roof color.
  20. I don't need no groundhog to tell me winter is over. I've got ants scouting the joint, a lizard invasion and mockingbirds attacking the dogs.
  21. I finished up with the weathering and final assembly. It was pretty hair raising attaching the limbs, as they are a tight fit, even though I oiled the poly bushings with mineral oil. I'm still haunted by snapping the hip joint on my first one, during assembly, when I was a kid. I put it into the plane mode, and I had to use tweezers to extract the rear landing gear. I'll take pictures this weekend when I can get some good, natural lighting. I'll transform it to battleoid mode, and it's gonna stay that way.
