Scale I Build

  1. They are back with this. 2015 Mustang, Ill shelby it up the best i can. Itll be a quick build. Remember blurry pics on workbench smooth pictures for underglass. Starting off with a reminder of what the blue crew contains at the moment. What im going for look wise What i have so far... It got to pose with my favorite shelby of all time the 67 GT500 428
  2. Ok, for the Tuner guys and Ford Purists at heart. You have been warned that this car isn't for the faint of heart! LoL This car is being build as part of a CBP at another forum. I started with a 2003 Ford Focus SVT and I've gone completely nutz on it. It will have a RG Alley Rat 502 engine Mid Ship and mated to a Porsche 914 Transmission. I've completely hacked the rear of the interior deck out of this car and scratched up my own frame rails. It's going to get interesting so buckle up and hold on! What I'm starting with: What I've done: I might change the rails as they seem a tad bit tall and might interfere with a few things that are going into this build. Enjoy!
  3. Who makes the best 69 Mustang sportsroof/fastback in your opinion,Revell or AMT?
  4. It was a pain to build, but it came out nice.
  5. This is my 60 Ford Starliner RestoMod I worked on back this past winter. I combined AMT's 60 Ford Starliner with the engine, running gear and suspension from Revell's 2010 Mustang GT 500. Not sure where I got the wheels from now. I opened the doors and did a lot of aftermarket and scratch-building and detailing work on it as well.. The paint is Tamiya's british green and silver leaf with clear pearl and then testors clear laquar over all that. There were a few flaws here and there, but it turned out ok for me.
  6. Hello, This is my first post here. Would like to share with you all my latest diorama project. All done in the scale of 1:24, some items are scratch building and others made of resin. It took me a lot of time to get the look/feel right, for me that was the big challenge this time, to get the weathering and texture of rust as close as the real life. Please feel free to comment/criticise about it. thank you Even if you don't have or use Facebook, I have shared an album to show there in case these pics don't load properly here. 7. Hi all, sorry about getting my years of Impalas confused, but this is a '62 Impala, not sure which motor im gonna use, I don't have the (thriftmaster 6) its been BMF and interior detailed and done one more of the outside yhanks for comments and thanks for looking, Shaun.s
  8. Been snooping around but not found anything besides the Parts Box v12. Is there any options besides this engine?
  9. Hello Guys! Project Ford Sedan Delivery 1926 | "From Dusk Till Dawn" finished!!! WIP here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82934 After 3.000 photo clicks, more than 700 images, 11 months... Thanks everyone for this great conclusion! Engine details... To be continued...
  10. Hi all, here is my 65 Ford Falcon Gasser I just finished, wired an plumbed out, had a rough time. Someone started it an trashed the body, but, I think I pulled it out ok, ran fuel lines from Moon tank thru grill, plug an dist wires, clean sleak inside, thanks for looking. I'm doing the k.c. spurlock fruit of the loom funny car now, did the deep red car, looks like ox blood red. Post a few pics later,
  11. Hi, this is my 1956 Ford F-100. It started off as the Ed Roth paint shop truck but I modified it a little.I started by lowering it a little and giving it side exhaust. Finally, I added flat black Corvette Racing rims. It was a fun model to build but I hate the way the doors fit. Enjoy
  12. http://roadtrippers.kinja.com/ford-is-putting-a-mustang-on-top-of-the-empire-state-bu-1551115033 I'd leave it up there for longer than 2 days, after all the trouble...
  13. This is my build of Max's car from the first movie. It's an Aoshima Road Warrior kit with a mm1 resin transkit from Frank. the kit is the latest release with the photoetch extras. The build went very well, except for the boot lid, which i had major trouble with the hinge and making it fit. (brass rod snaps if you bend it too much!) I plan to use the left over upgrade parts to fix up my previously built Road Warrior Interceptor.
  14. Danbury has really gifted us with some real Beauties over the years. When they slowed production to a halt, their limited editions were selling for $150. Their latest,(and last) model, the beautiful 1935 Ford Coupe, is listed for $250.00. I have about 100 or so of them, so if I factor in the extra $100 I spent on this model, that is like adding a single dollar to every other one I bought. Not bad in my book, considering some of the models in my collection are worth at least twice what I paid Danbury Mint for them, and some even more. My Bullitt Charger, for example, one has sold on eBay for $1200.00 (not my personal model) I had more, but sold off the low-tech stuff (and made a tidy profit doing so), and now only have the models that came from (what I like to call) the Golden Age of diecasting, when models were rid of the dog-leg doors, and went to hinges, photo-etching was a must, and they just got awesome. Models like both the wonderful '54 Cadillacs (hardtop/'vert), the '59 Pontiac, both the '58 Pontiacs(hardtop/'vert), the '57 Cadillacs(hardtop/'vert), all the woody wagons. The '58 Chryslers. The two '55 Chevy's(hardtop/'vert), the second Gen and '64, '65 Thunderbirds, the beautiful '47, 48 Buicks, and lest we forget the striking '56 Lincoln Premier's (hardtop/'vert), or how about the two Packard Caribbean's (hardtop/'vert), or have we forgotten so fast of the two outstanding '56 Buick's that Danbury gifted us? How about the '49 Olds Rocket coupe, or the '48 Chevy Fleetline? And those are just some of the jewels from the '50's. I would be a fool if I forgot to mention the classic '36 Packard that belongs in every diecast collection, or the first Ford fitted with a V8......the 1932 Ford Coupe B., and life wouldn't be so merry if I didn't have my '37 Stude Dictator coupe, and the new '35 Ford fits right in with these stunning vertical grill cars. I hope I haven't bored anybody yet, because I have yet to mention the Hotrods, like the Little Deuce Coupe, The Ala-Kart, The McMullen Roadster, or the Norm Grabowski's Kookie Kar. I also have all of the under-appreciated pro-street cars. I also have every Danbury Mint C-3 Corvette, including the Pro-Touring and Owens Corning racer, 13 in total. And don't let me get started with the muscle-cars, let's just say I have all the good ones. Did Danbury ever make a bad one? I own all the models listed above, and then some. I am just trying to make a point here, and that to me, the extra $100 that I spent on the very last Danbury Mint model was well justified. It will be destined to be a highly collectable model, and I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't jump on it. I have made that mistake in the past, and ended up paying dearly for it.
  15. Howdy all,,hope your getting some warmer weather wherever your at! I was going thru some inventory in storage here,,and ran across this OOB bx AMT 58' Edsel pacer,,its about 10 yrs old or older,,not sure,,Ive had it a awhile. But a great build as far as the kit going together well,,no probs. Gobs of BMF on this one,,whew!,,took awhile to do. But I like the kit overall,,Cheers!
  16. Changed the wheels on my Lindberg (1/32scale) '34 Ford. BEFORE AFTER (cell phone camera turned the red a little pink, didn't do color correction on the photo yet, it's all about the wheels)
  17. This is a project that I've been working on for awhile. AMT rereleased the Ford LN8000 race car hauler. I got to looking at it and thought that it would not only look cool as a crew cab, but a crew cab would fit the need of a racing team. I have several Ford deliveries around so I dug into one and combined it with the race car hauler to come up with this.
  18. Here are a few pics of my current build......if I could ever get the paint to turn out the way I want, it might get finished!
  19. i have been working on this model for a long time . i have gone through two bodies. countless rear fenders . a couple hoods, and three frames . it's sat in a parts box for a few years . While waiting for parts to show up on another build I decided to bring some of my stalled projects out to see if i can breath new life into them . This is one of them this model is in its rough stages . the plan is to have a 6.1 hemi, viper front and rear suspension air bags and as low as i can go . now for some pics
  20. finished up my 37 Ford Pick up(minus a rim :/) so I started on another build! A 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 this is my progress so far Layed down some Flat black for the chassis and got the 312 sbf painted and mostly assembled! I will update as I go Thanks for looking

  23. Howdy all,,well Im thinking of spring coming soon,,summer soon after,,got in kindof a fair weather building mood on this one. Its kindof a WIP side project I work on from time to time. Its the AMT 41' Woody,,but its missing the back doors,,and its top,,and a Hemi somehow got in there,,other than that its somewhat stock. Engine is totally from the leftover prts bx's. As are the tires+ rims. Gonna do a 2 tone dark blue seat insets,,with the white interior. Made little floor mats for it,,kindof a summertime ride,,all I need now is the $$ for the 1:1 car! Cheers!
  24. Pulled this one off the shelf a few days ago.Mocked it up,looking for ideas.Seldom do I build to resemble the box art,but I like how it looks in this case.Going for a late fifties kinda drag look.Nothing too difficult. Will use the AMT Round 2 wide white pie crust slicks on the rear, wide whites on the front and the kit wheels all around although they should be skinnier on the front.I'll see what else I can find.Paint color will be red, maybe candy apple.Spark plug wires and a few minor details should do it. I would like to try my hand at better detailing but I need more skill and patience. All in due time I guess.I will post more pics as this one progresses. I'm already looking at one of three more 32's in my stash.Anyhow, thanks for looking, any comments are welcome. P.S.The stash is nearing 200.I buy more than I build(bad habit).
