Daxman
I finished this beast last night. I'm very happy with the finished model. The turbines are all scratch built from styrene rod. The front wings are made from the front seats. The rear louvers are from a Hemi-Cuda. I gut the body down the center and removed about 1/3 of the plastic. Sealed off the old passenger door. The windshield visor is hinged and moves freely. Although, I did end up putting in a support post. I thought it looked much better.

GerN
Such a wild assemblage of crazy pieces! The excellent weathering helps hold it all together as an almost believable vehicle. Great work!

ismaelg
The concept, the design and the execution are top notch. But the weathering takes it beyond mere mortals realm... Translation: WOW!

Daxman
Thanks for the positive comments! Much appreciated Very fun build. The best part about weathering.......I had this model %99 complete. I had just finished the final Dullcoat, waited 20 minutes for it to be dry enough to pick up....then I dropped it. Broke the body into 3 pieces. The right rear fender and the right front headlight/front fender broke off. I was very upset with myself. I had to re-glue the pieces back on. Luckily, a little rust colored paint fixes everything. 89AKurt
Ditto all of the above. Super cool project, should end up published in a magazine (hint). I hope this isn't your Tamiya kit for the Common Kit category at the next GSL.
NOBLNG
Wow! I have never seen a model that looked more like old steel! The design just goes to show that there really are no limits to this hobby! One can truly never get bored if you have an imagination.
misterNNL
Very well done. Even with the extreme number of modifications the overall balance is outstanding with just the right amount of external design elements like shields, thrusters and such to look like it belongs in a SiFi movie. Thanks for taking the time to take and post the excellent photos for us to all enjoy.

It was a set of 8 washes and paints. It has some really great colors to work with. I suggest it for anyone starting out new to weathering. bobthehobbyguy
The weathering really makes this pop. Looks like it has really been used. Shiney would just not have the same impact.
