curt raitz Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) Upcoming NNL West Theme: "Wagons and Wings" Here is what I came up with. Took the body from the '39 Wagon Rod and dropped it on a '41 Chevy Truck chassis, thus replacing the UGLY front end of the Wagon Rod. Dropped a small block in it, lowered the ride height, added whitewalls, part box wheels and "ratted" it up bit. Thanx for lookin' Edited November 27, 2018 by curt raitz duplicate photos 1
Phildaupho Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Front end looks so much better. What a great idea.
Scalper Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 nice work.. like the weathering. a survivor
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 That front end was a very good idea! Looks much better than the original, for sure!
Dave Darby Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Now that is not only a great idea, but super nice execution as well.

donb Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Nicely done. Like the exhaust through the fender too.
Hmann68 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Very cool, and nice weathering on the wood grain ?
Ryansrust6 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Love it good idea switching the front end out
John Teresi Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Curt my Brother.....Killer build, turned out great.....wish I was going to the NNL West to try and win that bad boy in the raffle ?
Dennis Lacy Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 This is awesome! The truck front end really works yet I don't think I'd have ever thought of it myself. I love the lightly weathered finish and the hubcaps are different in a cool way!
espo Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Great idea on the front end swap and the ageing looks just right as if it's in constant use.
Robberbaron Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 This is the first build of the Wagon Rod that I actually like!
aurfalien Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Hi, Wow this looks really really top shelf. If it were a Scotch, it would be Lagavulin.
