Here's an original Airfix 1/24 Aston Martin DB6 that I was fortunate to purchase from a late friend's collection. Painted Tamiya Metallic Red over their red oxide primer, the kit doesn't look too bad considering its age. Unfortunately one wheel was missing, so I used some Tamiya Jaguar wheels and tyres donated by another mate to enable me to finish the build. Big sink holes on some bumpers so these were filled and covered with BMF. 20191204_094254.thumb.jpg.ed8b6618ac0e2460be77daab5d974428.jpg20191204_094339.thumb.jpg.26daae4026d43fbb687a37e460ea2870.jpg20191204_094404.thumb.jpg.27aba9ca28e03d735c7c096bf5561a09.jpg20191204_094503.thumb.jpg.d964c9d4928d27268f622af0206aebfc.jpg

Wow! That looks excellent. I've done the same with Tamiya Jag wheels, as well... they are really good! Very crisp detail work, and the engine looks brilliant. Nice choice of colour as well; it's good to see one that's not Silver Birch...

Great job!

best,

Very nice, very cleanly built! I don't think I've ever seen one of these finished before. Well done and model on! B)

Very nice!

This is the first I've seen one of these done! I've had this kit for many years now and it's good to see this one done up so cleanly. If I ever get around to doing one, I'd like to put on Fernando Pinto's excellent hand laced wires which I have a couple sets. Very period correct for this type of car.
