Tiger89
Built from the AMT "Mexicali Mudlark" kit that was a curbside. I carefully cut the hood open, used the engine and wheels from the newly-re-released Wildcat, radiator support, firewall, and windshield came from another newly-released '65 El Camino. The body was painted Tamiya light metallic blue.
Snake45
Very nice! One of my alltime favorite kits. I never knew the Mexicali Mudlark kit was a curbside, Well done and model on!

Spottedlaurel
Nice one. They're an attractive car at 1:1 and your build does it justice.
shoopdog
Very nice! I had a 1:1 in black as a teenager so it's quite nice to see as a model.

doorsovdoon
Very nice curbside conversion. Colour combo is great, I like that the dash is black to tone all the white down a bit. Nicely done.
Tiger89
When I was completing this, I opened a sealed Revell '66 GTO to see that its chassis and engine bay could easily be joined to this old AMT body. The kit version I got was the last before the body mold was turned into the modified stocker.

Kromolly
Very nice. That nailhead looks right at home between those fender wells. I wish someone would make a '65 Skylark Gran Sport, the first "GS 400". Or maybe they did and I don't know...?

Well after the full detail '66 annual which was later butchered into the mod stocker. Is there a possibility that there was an ex-promo curbside body along with the regular kit body that might be still lurking in the deep catacombs of the Round 2 vaults? TooOld
Nice ! The '66 was a very good looking body style .
