Tommy124 Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Hi guys, another restoration of a pretty rare kit. I bought this on eBay and made the best of it that I could. The kit's front valance is lacking a lot of details which I tried to improve on, using my humble skills... This is how it turned out:
doorsovdoon Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 That's seriously nice, I really like that!
Classicgas Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Nice. Where did you get the window cranks?
TransAmMike Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Cool look Thomas and great job on the resto?
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Cool, I had to convert the 72 GTO for mine. Then, learned there was a conversion body kit as well.
Spottedlaurel Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Nice save, that worked out very well.
BeakDoc Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 A lot to like about this one. I’m digging the blacked out hood treatment.
espo Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Great looking rebuild. I like the mild modified look.
Bills72sj Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 Very nice. I should get to my GTO's someday.
blunc Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 you can tell it's very old..., the rear bumper fits properly. well done.
slusher Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Great looking model!! I give you Props on saving it..
Tommy124 Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it! On 11/27/2020 at 3:50 PM, Classicgas said: Nice. Where did you get the window cranks? Thanks Lee. The cranks... a mate of mine gave me a bagful of spare parts for die cast models which he had gathered over the years, to check if there was anything useful in it for me. Turned out that there were some nice parts in it, like these cranks, exterior mirrors etc. ?
Hmann68 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Cool! Tough looking goat! The 70 is my favorite gto ?
TooOld Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Would love to find one of these . Yours looks Gr-rrreat in silver !
