Grumpa Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 This is "cool" Glen! Ya gotta admit it's kind of an ugly duck...but a unique build all the same!
Kromolly Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Very cool and unique subject. The diorama is outstanding too!
papajohn97 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 What an unusual and great subject for a resin build! Funny, I was just looking at an old book a few days ago that I bought in 1975, “The Last Onslaught on Detroit” by Richard Langworth, a detailed history of Kaiser-Fraser. It’s a great reference, let me know if you run into questions that I can check this reference against for you. I have a soft spot for K-F, my dad drove a Henry-J to work when I was a kid and my Uncle Duke drove a Manhattan beater. I recently purchased a resin ‘62 Ford Galaxie to attempt an early super stock build using AMT’s ‘60 Ford Starliner as a chassis/ engine doner. I’ll be watching your build and appreciate any tips you pass on for executing a resin conversion.
TransAmMike Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Definately something ya don't see see everyday!! Great job on that one Glen?
bisc63 Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Cool project, love the odd subject, and it turned out very nice!
thatz4u Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 way kool, my parents actually owned one back in the day...
Danno Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Good job, Glen! Will we see this at Goodguys in a couple of weeks? ??
bbowser Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) Very cool! Love the off-beat builds. Edited April 5, 2021 by bbowser
christian-w Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I like kits, which are not often to see. Very cool. The roof looks so strange around the windows. The proportions are looking strange too. The opening at the rear end are quite interesting and I like it, that you managed to open them! I'd never suspected, that the lower part will open like the door of a pick up truck. I think the Kaiser automobilers where strange cars. btw: the name of the producer is "Kaiser". You wrote "kiaser" in the topic
David G. Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 A delightfully unusual subject, nicely done. David G.
doorsovdoon Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Very nice work, unusual looking car but really cool.
#1 model citizen Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Always thought these cars were cool! Nice job!
Modlbldr Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Great subject and an amazing build. I like that you opened it up. I would love to find one of these to build. Any info you can provide on the maker would be great. Later-
charlie8575 Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 That looks great together. What did you use for the engine? I was trying to bid on one last year, but it went out of my range. I'm hoping whoever is casting these will do some more. Charlie Larkin
