Holy Mackerel!

Mackerel 🤔°° wasn't that a barracuda kit from AMT? ☝😀 yeah the Mad Mackerel.. I don't have one of those. Should've picked one up when they were reasonably priced. I'm just trying to check off all the boxes on my must/gotta/die if I don't have list.. 😉

The ERTL International Transtar F-4270 is the second truck kit ERTL did themselves back in 1972-73 together with the International Transtar CO-4070A so it's fairly old and the F-4270 was altered to the 4300 Transtar Eagle and can't be reissued again in original form.
The CO-4070A was changed to the CO-4070B Transtar II Eagle so it could not be reissued, but Round 2 has done a new tool of the CO-4070A so that's available, the CO-4070B Transtar II Eagle on the other hand will most likely not be reissued, ERTL owned by Tomy appearently still have the molds for it but I don't think we will see it again as they are out of the model kit business.
So The Transtar II Eagle kit is not likely to be reissued, especially with the original air ride as it was changed to walking beam early in production...that is if not Round 2 can manage to get the molds from ERTL-Tomy who kept them when Round 2 got the tool bank from Tomy.

Here is another that most likely woun't be reissued in this state, the regular DM 600 and DM 800 has been tho'.

The farm tractor and accessory kits will most likely not be reissued either as I believe ERTL/Tomy still has the molds for them.

ERTL does mostly diecasts in different scales except 1:24 and toys nowadays, no model kits.
But I believe they still have the molds for the farm equipment.

I sold off all my big money hard to find kits years ago. At least the unbuilt stuff. I still have a boatload of builders in the stash.

Mostly late 50s-early 60s Annuals

About the rarest kit ( if you want to call them rare )  I still have are builders of the Johan 1970 Roadrunner, 1970 GTX and I have a few of the 1969 GTX

As for old unbuilt. I have a sealed Barry Setzer Vega Funny car that will remain as such, But I have several builders of it to do.

The pieces in the last photo are a 2X4 SOHC and Econoline buckets from Texas3Dcustoms and a teardrop scoop to build the '64 into a B/FX; I have a set of 9.50 pie-crust slicks to complete the package. It will also have working head and taillights.

@dave bransonThe AMX looks great! I picked up one of the later Seville promos of one of them. Recently, I ran across a deal I couldn't pass up on one of the Shahan kits. I'm watching Hornets--I really want to pick up one of those. You have some pretty cool stuff, there!

Thank You  i do enjoy them also, What  I did with Javelin and Torino is what I plan for the Hornets.

One of my ‘grails’ - I always wanted one of those!  I’ve been planning a King T replica build using more easily available stuff for a while tho - I saw a video recently of a Hot Wheels collector who owns the 1:1

So many on my list but a few are on my list. Yes, eBay has them if one is willing to pay stupid money for them.

I’d say a lot of Johan kits comes to mind. I recall doing the Mercury Comet Pro Stocker.

Most of the oldie MPC autokits, Revell Navy ships of the 70s, Aurora Prehistoric Creatures series - I had just about almost all of them growing up in the 70s, Monogram Tom Daniels Design kits, Rubber Duck semi, Movin’ On semi, BJ & the Bear semi, Smokey & the Bandit trailer, to name a few.

Not sure if this is cheating but my rarest are my small collection of Fisher resin kits.  Porsche 917LH (2), Mclaren M-6B, Chaparral 2E, Ferrari 312P and a D-type Jaguar.  All now irreplaceable.  To that I'd add my Studio 27 Chrysler/Dodge Viper GTR. 😞

I have a built Fisher (when it was Dragon) 312p and an unbuilt Penske 512M.
I have a Modeler's Chaparral 2E coupe and Someone's Chapparral 2F and the resin DeTomaso Mangusta kit.

Then there's the Fujimi Alpina B7 (BMW E24 635) with the metal engine and suspension bits, and the MFH Ferrari Lusso and Ford P68.

The Renwall Revivals Virgil Exner designed Bugatti. 1/25th scale.

If anyone has an old made up one even with parts missing tucked away in a shoebox somewhere that I could restore/renovate I would like to hear from you. I would like to do this and let the Bugatti Trust Museum here in the UK have it. Mint kits come up at ridiculous prices on EBay aimed at collectors I would guess, but I build, so that is why I am looking for an old built up kit. Even just the body would be enough for me to work on.

This is a beautiful car. I have a Modelhaus Resin kit. Theres a very elderly lady that owns a real one in Central Indiana that she won on a radio show back in 68', just as beautiful today as when it was delivered.

I guess mine would have to be mostly large scale kits, since those rarely get reissued.

1/16 Revell 1978 Chevy pickup (non monster truck)

1/16 Revell ‘34 Ford street rod

1/16 Revell 1979 Trans Am Turbo

1/16 Revell Jeep CJ7

1/12 Doyusha kits

1/12 Skyline GTR Veilside version

I have some somewhat rare model of my own. I now know where all the ZZR's went I bid on. I'm looking at you, Mothers worry.  Posting what I think are my three most rare. The first pic is of my ZZR. Mostly complete. I hope to finish it soon. Next is my 1970 Toyota corolla coupe. Mint and in box. And lastly in my '74 Camaro funny car. I believe this was the only time it was offered as a funny car.

You guys have some amazing models in your collections, thanks for sharing!

Jerry

Although you can find this regularly on Ebay, I've not ever seen one nicer than this. It's literally flawless. Came with box that's also in good shape for its age. The second one is a 62 Fairlane which I found in a local hobby shop very reasonably. It's a built annual which I'll be rebuilding to replicate my very first car, a red and white 62 Fairlane Sports Coupe.
