niteowl7710 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 We had a small swap meet here a few weeks ago and I picked these two up to replace a couple of toasted original kits. Also managed to track down one of these after quite a bit of searching through a friend. Turns out he found it in China, and the seller in China sent it to Pennsylvania...in a padded mail envelope. That about bent the kit box in half, but somehow nothing broke... 6

Dang that sucks man. Was this straight from zoomon or from another site? Everything I’ve always ordered from zoomon I always got, and they always add free stuff. 1
sfhess Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 "LHS" visits to Burbank's House of Hobbies and Smith Brothers during a trip to SFV for our monthly meeting: Italeri Mercedes 500SLC MPC 69 Barracuda Revell 64 Impala HT C-141 Starlifter. I took a ride in one in 1972. In the mail yesterday: Iceman Collections Uncertain T. 3
Spottedlaurel Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 This pair from the same seller: Both to be done as road cars. Without going into the world of 3D I can't think of this generation Civic being available in non-racing guise? Silvia fills a gap amongst the 1980s Nissans in my stash. LS400 detail sets should help me complete a current, longstanding WIP and then build a replica of my 1:1 example. 2

Rob Hall Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Got a couple of the new ‘64 Malibus in the mail today, along with a ‘65 Mustang promo in decent shape. 5

That's the 1983-on version, and I was lucky to pick one up a few years ago. The one I got is from 1987 to '91, the only road car of that generation I can think is the Fujimi CRX. 2

Tabbysdaddy Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 I'm working near an Ollie's so I stopped in. They got in some things that weren't there last time I went. I was looking for the Pinto, the Galaxy was so the Pinto wasn't lonely for the ride home. 3
Gramps46 Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 This 1/24 UPC Ford GT40 just in. I had never seen one before and the price was reasonable. The surprise though is the box art is of a 1965 nose and mag wheels and the model is of a 1964 Le Mans April trials nose with wire wheels. Shown with the K&B slot body. Since it is motorized I will slip a Fujimi chassis, wheels, and interior under it. I am happy with it tough. 6
vamach1 Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Nice score on the UPC kit. It looks similar to the LS kit but I can see the difference in the front. By the way have you built one of the Lemans Miniatures MKI resin kits? I have one in my stash in storage.

I checked Scalemates and there are Aoshima kits that share the same box art so I think UPC imported the GT40 from Aoshima. I have only built the Gulf GT40 from Le Mans Miniature. 1
1930fordpickup Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 (edited) Just left the Monroe MI Hobby Lobby, with a Demon kit and 1960 Ford pickup kit.
