I am considering getting a grip for it.

Here is a link for one PS-290 handle

They also have all the parts for them. I got my PS-290 from there. They have great service and prices.

Santa was pretty good to me.  I wasn't even expecting a lump of coal.   Got some good reading/reference material, a couple sets of "duallys" from Modelhaus to build a couple of haulers, and a Dremel to replace/supplement the weakening Black & Decker I have had for 30+ years.

Well, I got this on my doorstep recently as I couldn't resist another rather somewhat forlorn model I came across on the 'Bay. ;)

I also went ahead and bought another new '69 Boss 302 kit to one day restore this properly.

I can see where the roof was joined to the body as it wasn't filled in the rear deck quite as well as I'd like. There's some proportionality issues I see with this roofline. Also, the rear window needs to be 'tunneled' a bit more according to pics I have. Of course, that front end has gotta go!

I came across this car recently on the 'net.............would make a GREAT modeling subject!

Gotta put redlines on mine though..........they were still de riguer as far as muscle cars were concerned in '69. ;)

I've got a pretty fair collection of old Hot Rod mags for the vintage tech stuff, but not a whole lot that's really aimed at customs and models.

This came up, and as I'm fascinated by the cover car AND have the models featured thereon, I had to have it. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I need more.  B)

I have the same idea Bill.....I've been trying to get Kevin at Missing Link to tackle a resin Coupe for far longer than I care to remember....I have the Revell 70 Grande and plan on combining this with the new Boss to try and come up with a suitable conversion....

Found on eBay - a pair of old HELLER 1/24 scale Mercedes 300SL Gullwings.  Both open but mostly still sealed inside.  I went back and read the threads in here about the Heller Gullwing, which mostly compared it to the AMT 1/25 kit and the much better TAMIYA 300SL.  I have both of those in the stash, but wanted the Heller kit for a long time.  That box art is definitely suitable for framing in the workshop.

One body has a crack just above the grille opening, shown in a close-up photo.  I made the seller an offer, which he rejected, but the price was still pretty good: $25 + $12 shipping, so $37 all in. Or $18.50 each including the shipping.  Hard to beat that at today's prices.  I'm already thinking of building the broken one as a barn-find beater or weathered rally car. Or maybe put that engine into a hot rod...

The rest of my Christmas stuff has filtered in.  Shipment from HLJ, and a pile of liveries from S.K. Decals

Had to go to the other side of town to help a friend bleed the clutch on his old Miata, and get my recently purchased XJ6 Jag a little closer to bringing home.

Stopped at HobbyTown on the way back and snagged a Revell '66 Suburban, a Hasegawa scribing template set #1, and a Helix small circle template. Gonna put on some Christmas music while I open the Suburban, and be a kid again for a few minutes.   B)
