  1. It was mentioned above, but bears repeating. Goodyear has become very sticky to deal with regarding licensing fees for more than a decade. I build a lot of NASCAR kits and Revell has not had Goodyear markings in their kits since about 2006. The only way to do these kits properly is through the aftermarket, and I am sure these are unlicensed decal sheets.
  2. Great job! I followed this one in the work in progress thread and your work is outstanding.
  3. The rainbow warrior cars were metallic blue and neon red. Model Car World paints have the colors to match. I built a 94 Dupont car using their colors and it looked spot on.
  4. Great job! I like it a lot.
  5. Great looking model!

    Another nice save Michelle.
  7. I am not sure that words can fully describe this gentleman's work. It's museum quality building that's for certain.
  8. Both of our kids are now in their 20's but they had some incredible melt downs growing up. A teacher of one of our kid's told us that when kids turn 12 - 13 a switch turns in their brains and they are able to start to think more like an adult. When they have emotional difficulties, they also start to deal with them differently. Typically the crying fits start coming to an end. 11 is a little old to met down over not being with his mom. I could see it to some degree if both parents left him with you, but you said the dad was with you. Kids melt down over some unusual things, and it may not have had anything to do with being with you or missing his mom. Mom being away could have merely been the trigger. As frustrating as it may be, the only thing you can really do in this type of instance is let the kid get over it himself. If you get angry or lose your temper with them in the middle of the melt down, it will make things worse. What we usually did was put the kid in a room by himself or herself and let them know that they could come out when they were ready to behave as we expect. After a while, they got over it. Hopefully you will not have to witness something like this again.
  9. Thanks for the kind words everybody. I appreciate it.

  12. Great job! Glad to hear your friend really liked it.
  13. Tax dollars.
  14. Great job on another car in which the decals look like they would have been quite the challenge.
  15. Great job. I agree with Bruce, those decals look like they would have been a challenge.
  16. Very cool looking! Great work!
  17. Great job Dann. She's a real beauty!
  18. Thanks for clarifying Dave. My point was not clear, but the assistance NASCAR provided reduced Revell's costs to produce the kits considerably. As stated if Revell of Germany is offered the same assistance, I have a difficult time seeing that they would not accept, unless the kits are unprofitable even at that reduced cost.
  19. Ron, the government always does its business by mail. The smart scammers will not use the mail service because that is mail fraud and the government still takes this very seriously.
  20. That is really spectacular! Museum quality work that's for sure.
  21. Great looking AMC!
