  1. I have not built one of these since I was a kid. Hubley Packard and Duesenberg. MPC.....Lincoln roadster iirc? Been a long time. I think I may have something in the stash that might qualify.
  2. Right back at ya Casey429 !
  3. Looks great Tom. I might have to send you all my stuff that needs airbrushed. ?
  4. Stunning work.
  5. Glad you decided to get back on this. The 28-9 A-pickup has always been a favorite. A friend of my dad's built one that I fell in love with as a kid. 48 flathead, zephyr 3spd, juice brakes, Kelsey Hayes wires, and wrapped in the old Ford dark green. Sweet little truck.
  6. Will be watching this one Bill. I built mine a number of years aho and loved it. High on my list of grail 1:1s
  7. Thanks Mark, Tom. Also, thanks Tom for finding that paint. We are experiencing high winds, wild fires, and power outages, so what does that leave one to do? Wiring and finding the correct rubb...I mean...v-belt. ? I find it interesting that this engine has no fan. I guess I can't drive it in parades.
  8. Looks good!
  9. Nice displays, and yes, trailets are hard to fit. ?
  10. Ha! Thats what happens when I don't triple check the instructions. ?
  11. Looks real good with the trunk stripes added. ?
  12. That is amazing. It really looks like a parked Pontiac was rear ended by the Lamborghini doing about 200 mph.
  13. Great color! This is one on my wish list.
  14. I agree, these and the C8s you showed us look so much better with the silver alloy wheels, than the black.
  15. This old Merc came in the mail today via trade. ?
  16. So after a nice weekend of camping. I was able to get the front suspension assembled. I also used molotow for the first time. I wish I would have read the part about letting it sit a week before handling... I cleaned up the mounting brackets for the tank and noticed the woodgrain. So I sprayed them with a light gold metallic, washed them with black, and molotowed the straps. I mocked up the tank to see what they will look like. So far I am sticking to the instruction sheet and going step by step.
  17. Where were you at? Those postal rigs have been used all over the west for decades. They are actually a Chevy S-10 chassis.
  18. If I had envisioned something like that...I never would have traded it. ? Great build!
  19. I keep almost picking one of these up. ? I will follow your build and see if I can see myself doing something with it.
  20. Thanks a lot guys. Appreciate all the kind words.
  21. Love the racing MBs. They really look like period race cars.
  22. Great job, and I love how the continental kit looks on it.
  23. Your wife and my wife must be sisters. ?
