  1. Something a little odd. I bought a Flintstone Chevy coe, and went hmmm... After digging through my parts boxes of 55 and 57 Chev pu's, I found one Cameo bed. And again went hmmm... So other than the cab, this is a parts box build. I shortened the frame to accommodate the cab, and cootered together a lowered front suspension out of nascar suspension parts. Oh, and it will be curbside. I have most of the parts cleaned up of old glue and just about ready for the purple pond. I have no clue on colors, wheels/ tires, or if the rake will be to much, but I managed to get the frame and suspension put together. I cannot stress "CURBSIDE" enough.
  2. These just in. Macs are from a good friend and the Bel Air from a trade.
  3. Oh, WoW ! What a great combo!
  4. Absolutely gorgeous build, and I am glad you didn't paint it silver.
  5. Love it! I have one I am turning into a salt flats car.
  6. Nice collection!
  7. Beautiful work yet again Roger !
  8. Awesome! I have one of these to build, and love the look of yours.
  9. I wish my mind worked like yours...just a little bit. ?
  10. Looking forward to following your restoration of these cool old builds.
  11. " I get pushed out of shape and it's hard to steer When I get rubber in all four gears" Kinda fits this build. ?
  12. Would part of a 57 Chevy rear fin work?
  13. Following along Tom.
  14. Maybe this was the cheapest way for the manufacturer to offer a longer wheelbase. Longer wheelbase equals smoother ride.
  15. Sounds great, let me know when its finished and I will bring it over. ?
  16. Great idea Bill, and the shop is top notch. Can I bring over my 53 when you're finished? ?
  17. Tom, you're going to have to move this to the wip section, it's really shaping up. ?
  18. You didn't tell me about this one. Now I know why. ?
  19. Bummer, my father in law would have picked up the 56, and I would have bought the Falcon. Oh, and my father in law has a 62 Sunliner. ? The number of cars I own at any one time fluctuates. It usually depends if the family requires funds for a necessity, or the grass was greener when I saw another car I liked better. After not having anything old to drive for a number of years, and having the two oldest get married and move out. I brought this 53 home. The 66 Merc my father in law just bought.
  20. Thanks! I built the 1/25 years ago and have always loved the lines of this car. I would have to go to diecast for 1/64 Tom, as well as 1/20. I could not find kits in either scale.
