    Just to clarify the Shelby team Mustangs were blue - Gurney was a driver (not a team owner) for Shelby during the '69 Trans-Am season.

    Great project Mark. Since you asked: I would think the Chevy X-frame would require bracing/reinforcement when used in a race car. However I don't know this to be the case.

    I posted this information on another forum and a gentlemen stated Bud Moore told him directly the color was "School Bus Yellow" not Grabber Orange. The gentlemen is well connected with NASCAR so I have no reason not to believe him. You can decide for yourself what color you think the cars were painted.

    Thanks Shay. I did the window trim with Sharpie and a very fine point calligraphy pen. The tail and side trim was masked and air brushed.
