  1. The Suburban is a Chinese tool, right? That complicates molding it in the USA. Same with the 64 Impala, 67 Camaro ect ect ect.
  2. I like the Monogram bench seat better than the Johan bucket seats. To me that is what a cheap RR is , not a GTX.
  3. I never bought a kit that I thought I would never build. The fact that I don't have enough time to build all I have is beside the point. Buy what you like without considering it an investment and prices don't matter.
  4. The Corvair sportiness was overshadowed by the mustang. Nader didn't help but Mustang killed it for sure. By 1968 the Vega project was underway so it was never going to survive 1971. Though AMT listed a 1970 Corvair kit, there may have been some thoughts to extend another year. But, 2700 "1969 Covair units was really bad.
  5. I wanted an unbuilt '63 impala kit for 20 years when ERTL released the Prestige kit for $14 in 1987 . $200 originals tanked to $50. I was happy to get a kit.
  6. Correct me, if I am wrong, American Graffitti was after two lane blacktop. 55s were used but not built for AG. There were 3 but one was destroyed after AG.
  7. It's the demise of the 55 in American Graffitti Falfa's car
  8. I think I have his '67. Thought he did 1961-69
  9. Cosmetic differences between 70-73 Camaros are so subtle. Except missing SS396
  10. Spear too wide on the model?
  11. The 1973 Eleanor is a 1971 with a 1973 grille but small bumpers
  12. My friend's father worked at General Motors Framingham, MA where they built intermediates like the Cutlass. I remember him saying in the summer of 1972 that the Cutlass convertibles were dead and there were none in 1973,
  13. I got my Welly GTO at Rite Aide pharmacy
  14. Unfortunately, these tail lights are flat with no chrome pattern
  15. Everybody complains about a multi-piece body but if done well, they look OK
  16. I had one of these kits in 1965. They were very nice kits. Were called "All Stars" back then
  17. That' true. I had to budget the last order. I wish that I had a second chance.
  18. I bought a Welly also.Rear treatment is nicer
  19. I use rhinestones from Michaels store and polish them smooth. Assortments for round better than rectangular.
  20. This clear coated silver is a classic BMW paint scheme, though it peeled of the bodies in 2 years down to primer.
  21. I thik the GM '68s are ugly compared to the 67s.
  22. 1987 ERTL Presitige has the roof and the glass. Resin has no glass
  23. "Che Riviera" was the last separate tail light issue in 1969. AMT filled in a lot of tail lights in the 70s, including the 65 Galaxie.
  24. That is a lot of work to revert a 1976 Caddy into a 1971
  25. It looks like you modified an existing kit? Where did this orange body come from?
