  1. Does any body know where 1/24 scale1980s Mercedes AMG Hammer wheels can be found as in the Roadhouse movie 560 Mercedes car?
  2. I couldn't edit my response. But I wante to say that it seems to me Trophy kits were molded in blue about 1964.
  3. My first AMT kit was this 34 Ford pickup molded in red . I am guessing about 1962-3
  4. It's like archeology, recovery and analysis of material culture . nothing is absolute
  5. Will this conversion work best on the Revell 1968 Chevelle? I notice tail light body caps.
  6. Which MIckey Thompson car had Tempest 4s?
  7. The 1964 fords are beautiful. To me, much nicer fastback than 1965
  8. I drilled out my bug eye headlights for a new electronic lighting kit. has blinkers high beams and back up lights.
  9. I was never in a new VW bug or Ghia. Freezing and a 36 hp struggle up New Hampshire hills to go skiing is all that I remember. I am surprised that nobody offered retrofit heat tubes fo old VWs
  10. And who can't remember NO HEAT! Have to put rust holes in the heat ducts.
  11. I don't consider the Pinto as a loser car. Okay it did explode 50 times but they made 1.5 million of them ; not bad odds considering other cars caught fire as well. Some people loved them. Put in a turbo and they were a blast to drive.
  12. There are 2 1977 Trans Am kits. One with a permanent nose and on where you must glue it on like the 1970 GTO. I am guessing it will be a glue on nose as it must be used as a 1979-1981 kit as well.
  13. The 2.25 price date is what I remember too. I have the psychodelic 1958 Impala with $2.00, $2.25 and no price shown. The folding boxes are another tip. Stiff unfoldable boxes ended in 1970.I liked the foldable boxes. Saved them and crushed the others.
  14. That's why buying the Modelhaus 68 Chevelle conversion kit is not a simple chore. Making a 68 rear bumper fit on a 69 requires extra styrene and shaving.
  15. Except for my 1964 Impala convertible bought in August 1964, all my early models are long gone. I have replaced a bunch. Some are easier to find now than 4 decades ago. My friend had a 63 impala kit which I always wanted. No dice on that until 1987.
  16. I seem to remember the early versions had 68 front marker lights too. I think ERTL fixed it on the hardtop. but my Round2 convertible is wrong
  17. Revell will do a 1969 and donating will be a mute point. 1970, 1971 and 1972; who knows?
  18. Revell will sell a lot of the Chevelles to upgrade other kits.
  19. You fixed the front marker lights on the green version. AMT made a mess of the body sides.
  20. I have the 1970 Blue Cresants too. The chassis fit is not that great. Bought it new in 1970 and never finished it
  21. That 1968 GTO vert is hard to find, almost impossible now. Our neighbor had a LeMans vert in that green.
  22. He is not out of business.
  23. Sometimes you can find a distressed promo for a good deal. turn it into a kit.
  24. It's not wood, it's madera LOL
  25. The MPC trailer was created before the ImpalaSS427 kit and not to be confused with the AMT pickup truck's trailer.
