  1. Yes, the 75s ran better than the equivalent 74. Going from a 10 compression ratio to 8 hurt a lot too
  2. Also the EPA killed it with CAT mufflers, unleaded gas and weaned carbs.
  3. This Brat has the Chicken tax seats in the pickup bed
  4. I wish Round2 would issue kits through Model King again. MK helped bring back several lost kits. This imperial was missing the chrome bumpers and maybe other items too.
  5. I like this MPC kit, Though the original AMT has a more accurate shape, it has a plain boring chassis.
  6. Despite what is said here, I am getting the Revell '68 Chevelle kit to build. Comments are interesting though I would have liked seeing a test shot like we see frrom Moebius displays.
  7. Funny car windshield eliminated during ERTL years
  8. I like the '56 Mercury station wagon tail lights that come with the kit. My brother's friend had them on his real '56 convertible.
  9. When AMT diverged from promo based kits, fit was a major issue.
  10. Fit wasn't that great in the '70s, separate fenders do not fit, never did.
  11. I have always wondered if AMT fronted the money to George Toteff to start AMT. At first it seems that MPC competed with AMT. But, in some ways they complemented each other doing separate projects and supplying separate customers. A little like SMP did. The MPC 64 Corvette was a kit that AMT shouldn't have done. Too complicated versus their usual annuals that were promo based. Those experiences probably paved the way for the complicated 65 Galaxie chassis and 67 Impala chassis.
  12. The artist rendering shows side sculpture not on the real car; where original AMT went wrong. Model can be sanded though.
  13. That's really nice!
  14. I don't see the big deal. Revell invests $100,000 and i invest $22. There are no perfect models. Old AMT kits had tons of errors though they appeared good. But, good modelers can fix anything. You can buy an original 1968 Chevelle for $300 if you can't risk a Revell.
  15. This is one of Monogram's nicest kits. I always thought the 450SL was a great car.
  16. I like the 6 cylinder engine in thi El Camino and wagon. Deleted for 1965
  17. But I did buy
  18. If Revell wants a kit that is recievd well in Europe and USA, consider a Shelby Europa convertible or fastback http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured-vehicles/mump-0505-14-shelby-europa-mustangs-euro-european-mustang/ Fits a missing model kit
  19. If you combine the AMT 68 Shelby GT500 withe the 67 amt Shelby, you can make Jim Morrison"s GT 500 Blue Lady . You need the 68 big block and Shelby wheels. Jim totalled it and was crush afterwards but lots of phots and video. https://www.streetmusclemag.com/features/car-features/on-the-trail-of-the-blue-lady-jim-morrisons-lost-1967-shelby-gt500/
  20. Imagine if ERTL did an AMT and converted their stock 67 SS396 into a modified stocker?
  21. About 1975. I bought one kit new than because I loved those cars. $14000 back then. This is a great kit even if no engine.
  22. My 1968 original AMT Mustang has a center rib on the rear glass. The new ERTL and Revell do not. What is the deal?
  23. ll I saw was tires, anything else?
  24. Gregor, how do you do it?
