  1. Thanks Gary I didn't think you were daft! I simply had no idea that these events were held in Argentina, I only knew of the original Italian ones. After all the great Argentine Grand Prix drivers in the fifties such as Fangio were thought of as honorary Italians. and there is a great tradition of road races in the Argentine. Cheers, -Don.!
  2. Nice combo, but what has the Argentine got to do with the Mille Miglia? Last time I looked, the original race series that ran to 1955 was in based in Italy, as were the subsequent commemorative runs. Brescia - Padua - Roma - Brescia. Please enlighten me!
  3. Yeah. I almost reported the post to the mods to avoid this fall-out, but decided that it would be more respectful to reply to Thomas himself. I'm sure no harm was intended. I didn't actually mention racism, btw but the original comment did come over as racist, however innocently it was meant. Back to dissing Gas Monkey...
  4. Very nice! I'm not familiar with these cars, but it is a really good looking design, thanks for posting.
  5. Thank Joe! -Don.
  6. I always wondered when the monster first appeared in the film - someone shouted 'Godzilla!' How did they know it's name?
  7. A car with no redeeming features - overbodied, underpowered and fit only for posing on the promonade, As I mentioned to Michael, the Vintage Sports Car Club was formed in the thirties for enthusiasts of proper motor cars such as Bentleys, Lagondas and Bugattis as a reaction to cars like this. In no way related to the fabulous 1934 Triumph Dolomite, a twin-cam 8 cylinder near copy of an 8C Alfa Romeo:
  8. Great modelling! Here's what she became...
  9. Hi Russel To my twisted mind that means you can do the interior and engine in the way you think best and nobody will have any evidence to dispute it!? It'll still be a great model and if it captures the spirit of the 1:1 then job done! Cheers, -Don.
  10. Hi Aaron I'm glad this got bumped recently as it is lovely and I missed it first time around! My immediate thought to your reservations about the front bumper was - why not lose it completely and smooth out the front just as you've done at the rear? Either way it looks great. -Don.
  11. I never thought to try this but your results are excellent. Old skool Photoshop.
  12. I always understood it was to route the propshaft alongside the seat, allowing the driver to sit lower in the car. The pre-war P3 Alfa Romeo racer had twin propshafts in a V layout, I beleive for the same reason.
  13. Oh, that's lovely! Cute and vicious at the same time.
  14. I happen to know this one so very easy for me. Thanks Michael, -Don.
  15. I like it a lot. But why 'roadster'?
  16. That's what a proper Grand Prix car looks like! Fabulous model.
  17. I always loved the Koach. I built one myself years ago and still have it on prominent display. Yours looks good, I wouldn't have noticed the decals if you hadn't mentioned it.
  18. Well, now I know. Thanks. Not one of Zagato's better efforts!
  19. I've lost a few Swiss army knives at customs, I only remember that I always carry one when it's too late!
