  3. Since your in Europe you might have a better chance of obtaining Prieser, Italeri or Revell figures like these nice work on the diorama here is an example of the figures from my collection. greg
  4. Just for some historical information back in 1959 the radio would have been up front as there was no communication network with hospitals. Probably a 'low' band radio requiring a 'whip' antenna. Information was passed through your dispatcher relaying the information, The 'Star of Life' was not around, lots of 'Red Cross' some other equipment would be a map book, resuscitator, spare cot, and maybe a stair chair. You could add a switch panel on the dash for the emergency lighting. If your going to weather the interior the linoleum would have absorbed the oil from the gurney wheels so marks from the rear door to the gurney would be on the floor. Back then some ambulances had hanging equipment to hang the spare stretcher from the ceiling (human torpedoes) Use the window decals from the Johan kit, Some had interior curtains. I pull the picture from my file using Microsoft picture manager, Click 'edit picture' then on the sidebar is 'resize' clicking that I use 'predefined width x height' selecting 'web-large' which reduces picture to size to post that fits, for multiple photos use smaller size, If photos need to remain initial size just copy photo and reduce the copy to place in your post. greg
  13. Just use duct tape stuck to each other and cut into strips, glue to crossbars greg
  14. I built the 1/24th resin kit years ago. Even made the pedals, linkage,S axle in the rear and working steering. greg
  15. Got a chance to dig out the ALF/Holmes and took a shot of the boom lock. I cheated and did not use Phil's plan on the lock. I used a simple C channel with a single piece from the other boom to fit inside and then pinned it through a hole hope this helps. greg
  16. You might try to see if an auto store would have taillight tape and just wrap the light bar with it. What are they call 'Canadian Tire' do you have AutoZone or NAPA? greg
  17. Nice job on the jeeps. Wasn't the trailer originally in the AMT Corvette kit in the 60's. Back then I used mine as a car lift with a Lincoln log as the hydraulic center lift. greg
  18. Nice project. My brother bought my mother a brand new 1966 Chevelle Malibu 283 automatic. we had the car in the family until last year with 58,000 mile on it. Many a time my mother came out of church and found notes on her car from wanted buyers. A real four door 66 Chevelle project is on YouTube where a mechanic is dropping a Jaguar v12 in it. Interesting is that he states that only 19,000 4 door Chevelles were built in 1966 as opposed to 129,000 2 door Chevelles. Seems your model is going to be as rare as the real cars. greg
  19. Answer number 1: Years ago a Canadian named Ted Calvin (RIP) made the 700 cab from the AMT ALF cab. His 'how to' was published in the GLMFAA newsletter. One section missing is the window frame template. Answer number 2: Open cab fire apparatus goes all the way back to the first horse drawn equipment to the first motorized apparatus. Enclosed cabs came to existence in the 1930's with the Detroit fire department safety cab. Open cabs stayed in use until the 60's when rioting showed the need to protect the firefighters. Open cabs wer a fire department preference due to clear visibility when approaching the fire scene. freer movement about the cab.   21. I built a RCMP unit using the Revell snap Expedition and the water mark decals. I have no pics and I gave it to a Canadian friend. I would test the decals before using them due to age. greg
  22. take two longer pieces of stock and cut the zig zag by files and then cut to size and glue on the booms. greg
  23. One suggestion is to substitute Evergreen styrene parts for the Plastistruct butyl plastic parts as Evergreen was not around when Phil wrote the article. Plastistruct plastic is very susceptible to environmental influences and mating up to styrene is like steel and aluminum as you can notice on my model stabilizer body doors which are Plastistruct and not that 'lousy' AMT kit plastic greg
  24. Let me help John. It is not IMC but ICM from Czechoslovakia. They have variants of the model T with the latest being the speedster. Word of caution is that the fenders depicted in the box art are not in the kit. The kit has standard fenders. Hope this clears things up. There is also a 1/35th series of military T's from them greg
