  1. Just think of all of the cool accessories/kits we have seen brought out in the last couple of years- The snow patrol snowmobile, the soap box derby car, the dirts bikes from the 70's,the Rupp mini bike and now the go cart! Now if they bring back the lawn tractor last seen in the old Indy car kits we would have pretty much all of them!
  2. Hopefully once this kit hits the street, we will see a bunch of aftermarket resin parts like we have with other recent releases. Think of the goodies that Olson Bros and Fireball Modelworks gave us for the Revell Bronco, gotta imagine they might be as excited as we are to get more goodies to build multiples of the Dodge truck. I think between what is already out there and what could be easily added, there will be a ton of these Dodge pickups on the tables at hobby shows in 2019!
  3. There have been many consolidations in the paint world, not surprised.
  4. Rumor has it, based on comments in another thread, that this kit will be making a comeback soon as a reissued MPC 2wd D100 1978 model.
  5. You can also check out Scenes Unlimited. Danny has developed some nice looking lug type tires that should fit those kit wheels just fine. If you want to go modern, he also has some nice tires with either highway or mud tread patterns. Great product, fast service and priced right.
  6. This will end up being another $50,000+ pickup truck that has more luxury amenities than real usefulness. Target buyers will be families wanting something different to pull their small camper or the occasional Home Depot run to pick up some plants and 5 bags of mulch. I would rather track down an old Scrambler and refurbish it for a lot less and have something more to what it should be.
  7. Very nice and definitely unique! Love your subjects Chuck, the variety is a nice change of pace.
  8. Thanks for the update Dave! Looking forward to having these available. There seems to be a huge demand for 4x4 versions (as you probably already know!) so my opinion is that if you can see to releasing the 4x4 version, it will be a success!
  9. Nice to know that a Dodge D100 pickup is coming, will have to wait and see what is actually in the box. The artwork states "D100" but the vehicle is clearly a W100 (note the 4wd front axle) on the box. As stated, what is shown and what is released can vary greatly (Moebius 70 Ford 4x4 pickup comes to mind). I am sure there will be some resin folks out there that will have a conversion/upgrade kit for this along with some other parts and pieces.
  10. Joseph at Fireball Modelworks has created the F250 4wd conversion kit and a nice set of cab marker lights for the Moebius kit but beyond that I haven't seen anyone else create anything for them. I agree that some other pieces would be nice (bumpers, mirrors, etc) and suspect that the upcoming utility bed in the 65/66 Ford F100 will find it's way to a few of these kits. I am willing to spend some cash if someone offers it!
  11. I just checked email, my Fireball Modelworks Moebius 4x4 Conversion kits should be here tomorrow- after I leave for a business trip to Texas! Something to look forward to on Friday!
  12. Exactly what I was going to say! Looks great Bill, outstanding as usual.
  13. Got an email from him Jim, glad to hear he is doing better and getting back into the swing of things! Looking forward to the new stuff he was working on before he got sick.
  14. While I might not be a fan of slammed trucks, I will say this one is excellent! Absolutely perfect paint and details, congrats on a sweet build!
  15. Nice job Al, looks great and the custom wheels are a nice touch.
  16. I remember buying these for $5 at Wal Mart and Big Lots on closeout. Nice kit, still have a couple to build!
  17. Got an email from Chief Joseph that my 4x4 conversion kits have shipped, looking forward to building a kit over the Christmas holidays.
  18. Aaron is on to something with his build- the Charlotte Fire Dept uses a beverage body trailer to haul it's Haz Mat equipment to the scene here. A lot more work to make the doors roll up and functional as you would have to build the inner body structure too, but I am sure there are some builders here up to the challenge.
  19. Awesome work on this "slump buster" Bill! Love the color and details, period correct and spot on. Thanks for showing your polishing tips, they are very helpful and just like the 1:1 world.
  20. I want to say that Bandit Resins offered a grille and tailgate conversion kit, I will have to check and see if I have one, thought I picked one up a while back. They might still offer it, worth a phone call or email.
  21. Thanks, he gave me some great pictures of the actual car.
  22. There was the Olds SUV based on the Blazer Bravada= Barf- ada ; Mercury Vomit (Comet); BMW Barf-aria (Bavaria);
  23. I was there Saturday Gerry, I agree on the Mopars! Lots of cool cars and stuff to see, caught up with some old friends and had a great time. I was glad to get back home, realized this weekend with that winter weather why I moved from Chicago!
  24. Thanks guys! I think I am now on a mission for either kit!
  25. I don't believe there was a Cosworth Vega kit and I can't imagine Round2 will tool up a decal sheet, a set of wheels and a complete engine to do one either!
