  1. Sharp, very sharp build. And I noticed the nice work you did on the tires right away. Nice paint job too!
  2. Hate to lose another one already but Jessica Walter dies at age 80. Never really watched her in anything but will always remember her in my favorite movie, Grand Prix.

    Triumph TR8

Nice paint and a very sharp looking model. Always liked these cars especially the TR7.
  4. Looks like some good subjects. I have confidence in everyone involved with this magazine and renewed for 3 years so keep it coming!
  5. Always liked him in so many roles through the years. Was happy to see him in the Goldbergs. He was a great addition to the comedy in that show. I will miss him.
  6. Great job on this! I like your photo setting too.
  7. Saw those kits on a website recently and thought they would be a fun quick project but kept myself from buying them. Nice to see yours all built and you did a nice job.
  8. I'd like to know what happened to Tower Hobbies. For years they were my #1 online store for models and paints but for the last couple of years I haven't ordered from them as they don't have anything in stock or are the last place to get stock in when everyone else has had the models available for quite some time.
  9. Your patience and skill are amazing! This type of old motorcycle brings back memories. I look forward to more of your work.
  10. My friend had a Basset hound when I was a kid and I never heard it howl. We had a fort out back and when we'd spend the night in it, she would come out and spend the night with us. Thought that dog was great. Gareth, real happy for you.
  11. Well, for me the greatest racing movie ever is Grand Prix but it could be because I was 10 or 11 and saw it in the theatre with Panarama or whatever it was called. Didn't like Le Mans when it first came out. Just a little weird with the limited dialogue but...... I think it's great now mostly because of all the historic aspect of it. Enjoy.
  12. Very, very nice! Perfect paint and decal work. Really like your interior too. You do better than I could do with 2 functioning hands.
  13. Sounds like Hobby Lobby in Tennessee is the same as Oregon.
  14. For years it used to be Tower Hobbies but they always seem to be out of stock or get models in after everyone else so haven't done business with them for quite awhile now. Model Roundup is quick but their shipping cost is high to me. Good selection there and I get my Tamiya paints too. Hobbylinc is good and HobbyLink Japan is good for models you might not find stateside.
  15. I agree this is a cool commercial and not just because there's racing involved. It catches your attention and then you stick with it to see where it's going and they make a good point on selling their product. Most commercials these days are stupid and annoying which I guess companies think we'll like and then buy their product. Not me!
  16. That's an interesting funny car that I have not seen before. You nailed it and I like the real car and your model very much. So different.
  17. Wow, that's a great looking model! And thanks for the paint color. I'll have to get some of that as it looks to be a perfect match.
  18. Continued frustration with this magazine AND their website. Almost a week after I contacted customer service, they emailed me with a lame response about my problem. My problem being not able to access the model reviews on the website. I am logged in. It shows I am logged in but shows a lock next to the review subject and then says I must be a subscriber and need to login. I am both! Have tried numerous times to login again with the other windows that show up on the website but get the same result. The email I got from them suggests the usual delete all history/cookies and try again. Have done that with no positive result. Was hoping to give this magazine a fair shot when it was dumped in my lap. I build model cars but enjoy looking at all models and see what the talented builders do outside of my usual subjects but am real frustrated with the magazine and now the website.
  19. Great plane and a great looking model. I'd like your photos taken with a plain background as it would highlight your model better.
  20. So glad to see I'm not the only one irked by what you've pointed out. Been complaining about this for years. Just ask my poor wife who is irked with me yelling about it. Another thing is what I call "flash, flash, flash" when promoting upcoming shows or most anything for that matter. It's a constant barrage of scenes that are done so fast that you can't focus on what you're seeing. I don't know if they think that's exciting but it just annoys the heck out of me. Why can't they just show one scene? I guess it goes back to that attention span thing.

    Tuskegee Airmen

Excellent diorama and a nice tribute to some amazing men!
  22. I agree! The extended daylight hours will come soon enough with time so just have a little patience and leave the clocks alone.
  23. Good looking car! And that stance.....
  24. Hoping I'm not hijacking the original subject.... I enjoy model building in general so thought I'd try and ride out the rest of my subscription which ends next year. The 1964 Cutlass is mildly interesting only for the "racing" version. Not into convertibles at all. Thanks for the look inside the box. This is the best type of thing for me as I want to know everything there is about a kit before I buy.
