  1. A tank is handy for keeping the pressure constant as you are using the air from the tank instead of direct from the pump
  2. Hi guys, I've got a resin body I found cheap but it has a lot of pin holes. I'm wondering if my usual filler will work for them or is there something better to use. I have 2 part auto filler, spot putty, humbrol model filler and acrylic nail filler and have ground out the holes a little so theres something for it to bite but my fear is it coming off during the paint process. The body needs a lot of work so I'm not fancying going to all the effort if its not going to work. I dont know f it makes a difference but the resin is white. Thanks for reading
  3. I've been thinking about getting one of the billings boats wood viking boat kits. This time last year when I was looking they were around 80 quid. I decided it was worth it and went to pull the trigger only to find they have jumped in price to more than double. I think I'll try again near the end of january in the hope someone got one for christmas and has given up on it
  4. I enjoy the show but its not one I plan my day around. Its more something I'll watch in the background while I'm at the bench, but I do save them to watch at work too. One thing I've noticed about the okc group is farm truck and azn being missing, they were the highlight of the show for me and seemed like the most fun to be around and had a really good atitude to racing
  5. From the shape of them I would guess they are side stripes but its just a guess
  6. Pretty cool idea, I can see hints of corvair in it
  7. NIce looking truck, I can see why you want a model of it.
  8. Thanks, I'm needing some drag cars in the stash so was hoping its full on rather than a modified 3 in 1 kit
  9. I see a few that interest me.How far from stock is the el camino funny kit
  10. Neat build, it sure looks the part
  11. I cant get the link to open, it just times out
  12. Saw a nice clean 69 vw camper on my way home from work. It was in the typical orange and white combo and pretty nice for a stock dub
  13. heres a few clubs, you'll need to search through them but what you're looking for should be there https://www.classiclandrover.com/ http://www.thelandroverclub.co.uk/
  14. that doesn't really make sense, weren't parents now brought up by parents years ago? lol
  15. Man thats cool, it reminds me of something from a goodguys show or sema
  16. Happy to help mate, and that set we were unsure about might be caddilac, I found a pic the other day that looked like them (late 60s)
  17. Very cool, not much beats a chopped 40 imo
  18. Nice work, the stance and wheels suit it well
  19. I'm sorry you're having problems with your neighbour, they can be very difficult situations to resolve. On this side of the pond they wouldn't be allowed to put drains in that exit on someone elses land (except possibly some farming) but thay can be allowed access to go throuh your land to connect to a drain but then they would be responsible for restoring your land. I'm guessing your not in hoa? You might be lucky and they sell the house when your neighbour passes. Would the county got involved if you maybe had a tempory drain dug so it runs out onto the sidewalk/roads so it becomes a safety issue?
  20. about mathmatical theories
  21. Thanks for that, if painting them doesn't go well its good to have a backup plan
  22. I've not built mine yet but I have studied the instructions and parts. For some of the body sections the interior parts seem to be part of the fitting points so I expect it would need to be done as per the instructions, but it may be different when actually building. I think I'll try one of the buses or vans first to see for sure though
  23. If you look on amazon for electric nail files there are dremmel style ones that take the smaller shaft size tools. I was finding my dremmel was melting the acrylic nail filler i sometimes use so for less than £20 I gave it a try. Its doesn't run very fast compared to the dremmel (I guess it wouldn't go down well if it burnt the user)but it does the job and came with a large bag of extra drum sander heads and a 6 metal shaping tools. Its worth having one if you do a lot of shaping and a worthwhile extra to have for when a dremmel is melting parts. I haven't tried a cutting disc in it yet but so far its done everything I needed it to do
  24. Stuart Semple is a pretty funny guy, he has an ongoing fued with another artist called Anish Kapoor (he made that massive kidney bean thing in one of the cities in the US) or something like that over the vanta black paint. It basicly boils down to if you have anything to do with Kapoor you cant buy any of Semples pigments. Theres a few threads and stories about it online if you want to find out more
